Sounds like everyone's had a productive and sunny Sunday. meat_n2_reg pleased you enjoyed the ride, my DS is missing his bike, since meeting a lady with 3 DC of her own he decided he needed a more 'sensible' mode of transport. A good footie weekend all round scousewife and Sunnygirl with Everton, Bury and Spurs winning their games. I'm not a great follower but as I originated from north London I had to support one and the alternative doesn't bear thinking about! Pleased to hear you feel better JaySL, look after yourself. Welcome back Caterina :hello:sounds like you had a great hol, and good news that you have a couple of extra jobs to to come back to

    Sunday blessings...

    1. A lay in this morning, a warm bath then slobbed about in my housecoat til 10.30am :o as I wasn't expecting anybody. Fatal! Because....

    2. DN's DD arrived on my doorstep to ask if I'd like to go in for coffee. Little one wanted to show off her 'new' ears, she's just had an op to pin them back as they were really quite protruding, I never noticed it as I was used to it but now the bandage is off it's made a huge difference.

    3. Managed to restrain myself from going to the farm shop, I need some trellis for a climber but when I go I always spend far too much. I got stuck into a good book this afternoon and read til 4pm then I knew my purse was safe

    4. Finished off a freezer meal of rabbit casserole with some broad beans for my dinner, then spoiled the healthy meal by finishing with a big dollop of raspberry ripple ice cream. Luverly :D

    5. Watched Nuts in May and am still grinning about that pig at the end, she was chewing intently on something for quite a while. I wonder what - or who - it could have been :rotfl:

Night night everybody, sweet dreams and ((((hugs)))) to all...

Good Morning folks :hello: - quick catch up :D.

So pleased for you scousewife (and all Everton supporters) - well deserved win - better leave that flag where it is, girl!

Welcome back, Caterina - love the sound of your new book :).

:DSunnygirl - the 'guilty stories' would make your hair curl!

((((hugs)))) for your young neighbour, sparrer! she sounds delightful :0.

Well done on the Sunday School, Patchwork Quilt - what a great thing to be involved with - I have very fond memories of the years I spent going to mine :D. Butterflies-Transformation-Resurrection - brilliant analogy!

ooooooo jollymummy - first bike ride - one of the milestones (and skills) of life :D.

well done to all who've found time for gardening, going for walks etc. - you all make me feel exhausted ;).

Yesterday didn't turn out as expected. Nathan and Katie were still in Manchester as their mum missed her train home on Saturday night, so I took myself shopping on my own instead.

    1. Bought a couple of lovely outfits for them as Easter Treats.
    2. Whoopsied chicken - 2 thighs and 2 drumsticks (Welfare Choice) - for 46p!
    3. B&M Bargains - Twinings Assam Teabags at a silly price plus ASDA(?)veg stock cubes 19p. They had Tesco fish stockcubes as well . Also bottles of J2O for 59p each!
    4. Pack of Maple Cure Ham (9 thick slices) for £1.00 - now packaged into 3 packs of three slices and in freezer. Also Pack of Haslet also repackaged and frozen.
    5. Sugar snap peas to go with the cottage pie for evening meal was delicious .
    6. Spotted something called a 'dragon fruit' - never heard of them before. Bought it on whoopsie for £1.00. Had to google it when I got home to find out what to do with it :D. Delicious .
    7. 2 whoopsied packs of Vegetable Enchiladas - 60p each and 2 whoopsied packs of Leek and Cheese Bakes - 50p each. Although I normally cook from scratch, when I see Ready-meals at these prices I will buy them :D. Makes for an evening off from cooking ;).

Supposed to be taking dgd1 (age nearly 11) out this evening for her treat (chinese buffet-style meal) - so no cooking for me :j tonight!

Hope everybody has a good day and (((((hugs))))) for anybody who wants/needs one. love Ollie xxxx

A few days since I've posted and I've missed reading what you've all been up to so looking forward to catching with that later.

    Here's mine for the weekend.

    1. Lovely walk on the beach yesterday with the dogs. The sun was shining, it was good exercise and best of all it was free!!
    2. Chilled out early evening and took a bit of me time to snuggle up with a good book.
    3. New plants in the front garden all potted and it looks lovely.
    4. Came in on Sat from a few hours work to find OH had mowed the lawn, cleaned the bathroom, hoovered and dusted. As far as I'm concerned his mates can come round every week to watch the football if he's willing to clean the whole house!! ;)
    5. Got ironing done on Sat which meant I had no urgent jobs to do on Sunday. :T
    6. Nice tea yesterday of roast chicken, salad and fresh bread - mmm.
    7. Invite to SIL's baby shower in July - it will take about 9 hours to get there on the train but it will be lovely to have a few days away and do some girlie stuff.
    8. Natter to SIL and MIL on the phone - good job we're on free calls!

Hope the weather stays nice this week for everyone.

    3. The sun shining.

    4. Having just enough food till payday.

    5. Going for a walk by myself yesterday in the sunshine and looking at all the old buildings on the seafront

    6. Being fairly fit and healthy.

    7. The kids enjoying sausage casserole for tea

    8. HM butternut squash soup for lunch today.

    9. Looking forward to my lunchtime walk today - hopefully the sun will still be shining.

Lovely and sunny here again. I hope everyone is well.

    Mine for yesterday:
    1. Another gorgeous sunny day so out early in the garden and finally defeated the brambles. My rhodedendrons look so different now. I took loads of pictures so that I can remind myself of how much I've achieved.
    2. Seeing my ds and his girlfriend cleaning his car. I never thought I'd see him looking so happy and she's such a lovely girl. It really made me smile.
    3. Lying on the sofa later in the afternoon with the 2 dogs, a pillow and blanket, and watching Last Holiday.
    4. Only me and dh for dinner again so we got the meal deal from Mr Ts and put it in the oven while we took the dogs a wee walk. Then we just sat and chatted and chilled.
    5. Going to bed absolutely exhausted but feeling I'd achieved so much. To think that we had been quoted an enormous amount to have the garden cleared and yet I was doing it myself for just my time (and getting fitter in the process).
I've just remembered to order oil so at least I can have a long hot bath when it's delivered. It's what I've really missed this last week since we ran out. The heating hasn't really been needed as we have the woodburners.

    Best wishes to everyone.

    Afternoon all.

    1. Had a most enjoyable weekend as it was my freind's 50th so we saw lots of her and her family.
    2. Got all my washing on the line this morning and it is now ready for ironing. I still love the smell of washing dried on the line even though I can dry it that way most days at the moment.
    3. Going to Sainsbury's for a free cholesterol and blood sugar test and finding out that "I am normal" (Glad someone thinks I am).
    4. Enjoying just cuddling up to DH on the sofa last night as we were so exhausted with all our socialising at the weekend, just not used to it.
    5. DS ringing us just as we were about to go to bed - he just wanted to chat and tell us about his good weekend too.
    6. Been over to see mum & dad and offer some more help in their garden but dad has been busy this weekend doing bits and pieces, just glad he is well enough to do it and enjoy it.

    2. Lovely purple azalea just bursting into flower
    3. One of our nephews popping in for a brief visit while in transit on a long journey.
    4. The first two bunches of this season's asparagus from local farm shop.
    5. Making delicious asparagus soup with the tough bottom ends of the asparagus, whizzed up with chicken stock using stick blender.

Hello everyone  what another lovely day it's been here! My five for today are

    1. Spending some time just with DS3 (the youngest) as he won't be back at school until Thursday. We've chattered about all sorts :D

    2. Getting the washing in and ironing it straight away - if only I could keep it up!

    3. Sitting in the garden to have lunch - a very simple tuna & red onion sandwich & a slice of weetabix cake.

    4. Having aching legs as a reminder that I spent an enjoyable afternoon with DH & DD gardening yesterday.

    5. Listening to one of my favourite CD's whilst doing the ironing.

I hope that everyone has an enjoyable evening. I'm planning on an early bath & getting stuck into a book :T or cross stitch, depending on how the mood takes me.
