Hi haven't been getting round to posting, been having too much fun. Here are the 5 of the best of my pleasures for the last few days.
1. My visitors on Sunday loving my pastry, well 'he' did anyway. Why do the men always love apple pie?
2. Having afternoon tea at a National Trust property, only this was OS - a really lovely sponge flan made by DD and our own drinks taken in the car park.
3. A lovely meal out at DD's of made from scratch coq au vin followed by a rhubarb and meringue dessert - scrumptious.
4. Having DGK's to stay for two nights and doing scrapbooking and cross stitch with them as well as a walk in the woods.
5. Being able to relax now that they have gone home.

Welcome to meat_n2_reg - nice to see that we have a male on this forum as I think most of the others posting pleasures are female.
Mine for today.
1. Taking my dad to the dentist - he thought he was having a tooth extracted but the dentist said he could save it, dad was soooo relieved.
2. Offered my old cooker on Freecycle last night and someone calling to collect it tonight.
3. Dad really impressed that cooker could go so quickly so posted some kitchen cupboards on Freecycle for him this afternoon and they have gone this evening too, so he now has more room in his garage again.
4. Just got myself a better package on my mobile contract without too much effort thanks to reading the mobile phones forum on here.
5. Bought some lettuce plants today that need potting on and a redcurrant bush from B&M, it was only 99p so will have to wait and see if we get any fruit this year.
6. Went shopping to Home Bargains too, never come out of that shop with nothing, I did manage to get some lovely gift bags for 19p & 29p so will put them away until I need them for birthday presents.0 -
Hi everyone
1. Today is OH's third day in a row that he has gone to work for the full day, not bad after being told he would be out of action for three months!
2. Beautiful sunny day.
3. Plan to spend much of the day in the vegetable plot, its so satisfying to see huge piles of weeds at the side of the plot and lovely clear earth ready for winter planting.
4. Chickens have been free ranging the section for the last couple of days, its soooooo cute to see them appear from under the trees and rush towards me - I know its just cupboard love, but it looks great.
5. The roofers are coming today to replace the roof, so I won't have to worry about leaks this winter
Blessings be

Kiwiblue - so glad to hear that DH is doing so well, it really sounds like he is going from strength to strength, brilliant news
My pleasures today were...- Being able to hang my washing out despite the wet start to the day
- Playing with DD in the garden
- Batch cooking shepherds pie with whoopsied lamb mince
- Adding a tray of flapjacks to use up the spare oven space, meaning i didn't have to buy any cookies for my rmummies coffee morning that i'm hosting tomorrow
- Sitting watching the apprentice on my bed as DH is downstairs watching football (the deal in THIS house is whomever gets the big telly, babysits) so am enjoying the peace, quiet and comfort

It's late and I'm a bit tired and have loads to do tomorrow so here are a few (quick) pleasures.
1. Cuddles with my DS and dogs on the sofa while watching The Apprentice.
2. OH getting home early and had already started tea by the time I came in from walking the dogs (particularly appreciated as I was running short on time and needed to be at a meeting).
3. New adult volunteered to help at our at youth club and one of the kids who left a while ago and moved away popped back to say hi whilst back visiting friends.
4. DS shared some of his Easter Egg with me - mmmm
5. got on the scales and lost 1lb this week - not a great loss but it's all going in the right direction . :T0
