Hi all,
My pleasures today were....- DS sleeping for 7 hours straight last night (DD didn't sleep through until 15 months so this is pleasure indeed)
- Taking DD & DS to the park and meeting up with a friend and her DS who is now allowed out after his enforced chicken pox quarantine.
- Chicken sandwiches for lunch for the second day running made with my stretchy chicken from Sunday
- Venison Ragu for dinner made with whoopsied venison found at the bottom of the freezer (and previously forgotten about) and using chicken stock made from my stretchy chicken.
- DH looking after DS so that i can have a quiet evening in bedroom pampering myself with various creams and potions, catching up with friends on laptop and watching 'womens' television, with no remote control interference
- Receiving my parcel from Amazon containing my ultra reduced toys for DS and DD purhcased using vouchers from survey site
Night all

- Watching the kids play for hours with the play dough we made together after lunch today
- Home made chicken curry - no curry paste in this house!!
- Tidying my bedroom
- Keeping the kitchen spick and span after its spring clean at the weekend (and our play dough and curry-making antics this afternoon!)
- Looking forward to a nice soak in the bath now - bliss!

Kiwiblue - glad to hear that you feel like you are getting your life back again.
1. Cleaning the kitchen with Stardrops - it looks so good now.
2. Meeting up with mum & dad at Home Bargains and getting some Easter Eggs and gift bags (both much cheaper than I usually pay).
3. Getting the pressure washer out and cleaning the front driveway.
4. Having an early bath and sitting in my PJ's.
5. Chatting to my aunt on the phone for just under an hour so it was free as included in my free minutes.0 -
Another nice sunny day!
Here we go:
- Nice chat with sister on the phone (wish we lived a bit closer).
- Two parcels arrived with decorative bits for our beach themed summer house.
- Have now smashed up two thirds of the concrete in the back garden.
- Did hour and a half of OU work and feel like I am catching up a bit.
- Watching Monday's episode of Heroes.
Waited in all day for new phone to arrive but no delivery  - hopefully it will come in the morning.0 -
My 5 for today:
1. Enjoyed reading the posts and hear good reports from those who have been poorly.
2. Ideas to try new recipe in the SC, like the idea of bacon lentil soup
3. Whoopsied Moussaka (sp?) for dinner
4. Impromptu plan to go away for the weekend and spend some time with friends and maybe time to immerse myself in a book.
5. Chance for early nite.
Good night..

Hi all,
Sorry for no appearance yesterday, I was very very busy spring cleaning my bedroom, worked all day and did not even manage to finish, which I shall do later today.
My 5 for yesterday:
1 - Decluttering my wardrobe, putting clothes in a bag to give to charity knowing that they do not do anything for me but will be useful for someone else.
2 - Decluttering my bookshelf of all read books that I do not want to re-read. Books will go to DD who does boot sales every now and then.
3 - Moving bookcase from the bedroom, having dusted and cleaned each remaining book AND shelves, to my workroom and feeling the sense of space around me in the bedroom.
4 - Seeing through the windows after washing them!
5 - Two books I ordered in the post through Amazon came in today (101 things to do before you diet, Grow your own drugs) so I have something new to read while on holiday.
My five for today:
1 - Won (in the post) £5 off voucher for the Method wood floor cleaning system, which I need because I have mostly wood floors in the house.
2 - Pattern cutting class, I have cut the first part of my body pattern in calico, it is starting looking REAL!
3 - Stopped at the Turkish shop to get the delicious sesame seed bread.
4 - Lunch with DS, great mixed salad with smoked salmon and delicious sesame bread. DS commented how healthy he feels in eating these lunches with me, I am delighted for this comment even more than for the lunch itself!
5 - Last day of work today before I go on holiday to the Isle of Wight!
Dear all, I hope you have a great Easter holiday, I am going to be offline from tomorrow to Tuesday, back on Weds.
Love to all xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hi All. My five for today are:
1. Sunshine this afternoon.
2. Hearing the wind last night & being glad I was all tucked up in bed.
3. Seeing 4 cakes my Mum made for the children during the holidays all lined up awaiting the freezer - if they make it that far!
4. All the children have now finished school/college so I won't be woken by the alarm but allowed to come awake naturally - bliss.
5. Cleaning all the windows today.0 -
Just one really big one for me today - my friend who called in for coffee this morning on her way to hospital to sit with her FIL as he is very ill. The family were all called on Monday evening to say their goodbyes.
Can't believe she has just rung and said he is sitting up in bed and has eaten some lunch - even the hospital don't know what has happened as everyone was expecting the worst. What a fantastic pleasure for today, just puts everything else in the shade as far as I am concerned for today.0 -
My 5 pleasures which will help for other 5 pleasures when I get home (currently staying with my parents for a couple of days - giving them some quality time with their favourite daughter - me
- and DH some quality time by himself.
)
1. Popping into Wilkos and getting some salad seeds, herb seeds, and a propogator (sp?).
2. Sorting out what I am getting/making for various birthdays throughout the year.
3. Speaking to a friend I hadn't spoken to for ages and arranging to meet up with her tomorrow night.
4. Sorting out a meal plan using stuff in the freezer and cupboard.
5. Reading my book and making the most of not having to look at an ironing pile....Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
