My 5 for today:
1. Washing dried on the line
2. Met up with friends and lovely treats from friends as it was my birthday few days ago
3. Friends helped with getting heavy compost/topsoil etc from the garden centre.
4. Have put on paper the ideas of "where to plant what"
5. Have food from freezer to take for work tomorrow. (Not done any cooking all week for the freezer, Oops! ...)
Have a good Monday.

The way it is with me, when I start I can't stop. I had a pile of bills and stuff to shred so just did that - a bagful of stuff out of the way so now that it's the 6th thing today!
Now I have to think what to do with all that shredded paper...
You need to move to a better London borough!!!:p Try GreenwichYou can recycle practically everything except hard plastics and polystyrene
:D All dry recycling in one wheelie bin ( glass, plastic, paper, cardboard), all food and garden waste in the other wheelie bin, and a carrier bag sized waste bag every fortnight for stuff that can't yet be recycled.
Just realised I didn't actually state that shredded paper is fine provided it's bagged up.You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -

I live in the Borough of Ealing. I can recycle hard plastic as long as it's not large items. I must find out from the council if I can recycle bagged up shredded.
I was in Greenwich on the 25th March at the Maritime Museum.Greenwich is a vibrant place. Once I was there on a Saturday and spent an hour in the market.
Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
To be totally honest, I often "kick off" about Greenwich:o:o:o But even I can't fault them on recycling :T:T They have made it so easy for residents there is absolutely no excuse for not recycling. I could throttle my neighbours :mad::oYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0

Why, don't they recycle? Do they throw the stuff in the river?;)Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
The immediate next door neighbours think it's "too much trouble" to separate" their rubbish:rolleyes: They put vast amounts into the black binsacks ( collected fortnightly) It drives me crazy:mad: Thank goodness they've put the house up for sale, hopefully the next lot in will have a better/bigger conscience
The local ( 2 miles away maximum) recycling centre deals with small electrical, all oils, batteries, ballast etc. He doesn't think it's worth his petrol/effort to take anything there. Oh that murder was legal;):D
Quasar, can you believe it, the market will soon be no moreGreenwich are going to allow the owners to sell off the land , so the covered market will be gone, probably as flats:mad: The passing of an era!!

Well done everybody on all those wonderful blessings over the weekend :T - I actually missed out one from Friday.
Got my 'Rent Statement' and somehow I'm now £172 in credit with my rent. I think this is because I pay directly to my employers (Housing Association) from my wages every month. We have 2 Rent Free weeks every year but they can't set the computer to take account of those, so still deduct the money at source.
I go away in 5 weeks - so that's another £172 for my holiday spends .0 -
1. chopping spring greens for lunch, I noticed the lovely lightgreen inner and dark green out leaves, just lovely.
2.watching working lunch with DH
3. putting some washed dry bedding away, it smalls so fresh.
4. being asked to do some church flowers over Easter.
5. having 4 people smile and say hello this morning."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0 -
1. Having a wonderful weekend away and staying with friends.
2. Going shopping with them on Saturday to the outlet at Swindon and DH and I not buying anything despite there being lots of bargains.
3. DS ringing home last night and spending nearly an hour "just chatting". I just love it when he has the time to chat.
4. DS saying how much he is looking forward to coming home for a long weekend over Easter.
5. Meeting up with some other friends for Sunday lunch at their house, so a free meal apart from the bottle of wine we took with us.0 -
1. Enjoying three pleasant days by the sea.
2. Finding two brand new quality shirts for OH in charity shops
for £4 each.
3. Returning home to find my first tomato seeds have sprouted
and the first carrot seedlings coming through in veggie patch..
4. Picking my last two leeks to make soup. My veggie patch
is now finally denuded of all its winter crops.
5. Receiving £10 gift card for opinions surveys completed. Don't
normally shop at Tesco but it will help to reduce the
housekeeping bill and we'll spend it all on special offers!0
