Mine for the last few days folks:
1. Enjoying time with my son and his girlfriend when they were down here this week
2. Feeding son and GF with contents of veggie box + other healthies
3. Lovely call from DD today - a good chat
4. 3 loads of washing on the line
5. Making time for my meditation this afternoon. It is soothing and I always feel better afterwards
Hope you are all well

It's been so strange without the forum to have a look at every time I have a spare 5 mins, I'm so glad it's back. Had a very quiet, almost too lazy, day so I'm raring to go for tomorrow as only a week left of the Easter hols and I want to fit in as much as possible. Here are my pleasures for the last couple of days.
- Finally ordered my bedroom furniture at last and was quite pleased with myself as I waited until there was a 15% discount day at Homebase and as a result saved over £100.
- Planned alterations to the garden. My husband decided a week ago to power wash our concrete path and as a result ended up taking up half of the cement!! Have now finalized a design that hopefully looks good and won't be too expensive. the only thing I have to do now is smash up the rest of the concrete!!
- DS's Xbox has suffered the 'ring of death' but it looks like we will be able to get a replacement through Amazon or Microsoft.:D
- Great walk through the woods with the dogs. I love watching them swimming and splashing each other in the pond.
- Some transactions from Quidco have eventually been received - I was starting to give up hope so that was a nice suprise.:j
- I'm pleased to say that I can finally see the bottom of my freezer. I've been trying to get in the habit of using things up before buying more in. I reckon there's 2 more meals left and then I'll allow myself to go shopping.
- Ordered some funky accessories for out seaside themed summer house. Although it's my husbands he finally agreed it needed a women's touch to make it feel homely. We'll christen it properly with a summer BBQ in June for his birthday.
- Looking forward to a nice chat with SIL on the phone a bit later.
Hope everyone has had a good weekend and look forward to hearing all your pleasures.0 -
The way it is with me, when I start I can't stop. I had a pile of bills and stuff to shred so just did that - a bagful of stuff out of the way so now that it's the 6th thing today!
Now I have to think what to do with all that shredded paper...Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Do you know anybody with a guinea pig or hamster? Would it be any use to them for bedding?0

Nope I know nobody. I also believe that one can't put shredded paper in with the recycling which is pants, because we have a recycling box just outside. I shall probably dispose of it with the rubbish, ever so little by little...Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
.........I also believe that one can't put shredded paper in with the recycling which is pants........
Yeah, I can never get my head around that one- surely paper is paper and 'they' MUST be aware that people are worried about ID Fraud these days.
I just rip my name, address and any 'sensitive' details off whatever I want to dispose of, then stick em in the recycling bin. When I've got a tumbler of small 'names and addresses' I attack them with a small pair of scissors and shred them up even thinner than my shredder can manage - then just those bits go in with the usual rubbish.
Even back in the 60's my dad was very paranoid about throwing out anything at all with your name and address on - probably more about not wanting the neighbours to know your business than ID Fraud though.

It's fine on the compost heap - if you have one, that is."Remember that many of the things you have now you could once only dream of" - Epicurus0 -
Hi everyone
we are having some beautiful autumn days at the moment, crisp fresh start to the day, then lots of sunshine at reasonable temperatures (around 20 degrees) followed by calm, clear evenings. Hope it lasts.
My five for today.
1. OH has gone to work, less than 3 weeks since his operation, but is feeling great, so he's getting right back into it.
2. Great weekend, DD, SIL, DGD, and Dm all came to visit, was so good to see them all.
3. Phone call from DS1, he has been offered a major promotion, so is feeling great.
4. OH took his boat out yesterday - fresh snapper for tea, and plenty for the freezer.
5. Life is just sooooooooo good.
Blessings be

So glad to hear/read that, it's made my day
My pleasures this weekend were:- Playgroup with DD on Friday, singing, playing, crafting AND refreshments for a £1. Only sad that it's not open over the easter holidays
- Drying the kiddiwinkles clothes on the washing line, i am still tickled at how cute they look and it reminds me that i am so blessed to have children after trying for a long time and knowing friends who will never have children.
- Cuddles with DD on the sofa for an extra hour as DH had to do overtime at work.
- DH doing PAID overtime, extra pennies for the funday funds
- A walk round the lake with DD, DS and DH on a beautiful sunny day, followed by a trip to the local park and fun on the swings and slides.
- Sunday Roast Chicken Dinner made with whoopsied chicken, which i know i will make s-t-r-e-t-c-h using the leftovers for chicken stock and sandwiches this week.
- Using my valued opinions amazon reward voucher to purchase toys for DD & DS. The toys were only £10.50 (RRP £50+) as i purchased them after seeing details on the grabbit forum. I WAS going to buy myself the tightwad gazette but got much more pleasure from buying something fun and educational for my babies instead.
- A lovely lie in this morning until 1030, luxury after a very disrupted nights sleep with DS.
- Using my breadmaker to make HM bread for this weekend rather than the overpriced/untasty offerings from Mr T.
xxx
P.S. am unsure which version of the tightwad gazette i should buy (there seem to be a few on Amazon) does anyone know which one is 'best' so i can put it in my basket in preparation for the next time i have a voucher0 - Playgroup with DD on Friday, singing, playing, crafting AND refreshments for a £1. Going shopping with DD and getting her everything she needed, talked myself out of buying anything because I DON'T NEED IT!
Being told by my DD's Rainbow leaders that in approx 5yrs time if she is still interested in Rainbows/Brownies they would love to have her back as an helper.
All washing perfectly dried and aired outside, very MSE.
The forum is now working again Hurrah!!!!!!- really missed it.
Had a very MSE weekend, saving as much as possible for holiday fund
Great weather this weekend, kids love playing outside in the garden, really helps them sleep well!!!!
School holidays, always hopeful of a lie-in on days that i'm not working!
SORRY I HAD 7 INSTEAD OF 5, EXCELLENT WEEKEND!.:D0
