Hi clutterydrawer - can't believe how much I missed this board.
You have been a busy bee haven't you - cooking, freezing, laundry - amazing how much we can get done when we aren't messing about on OldStyle, isn't it.
1. Yesterday I did some baking - Lemon Drizzle Cake and Melting Moments - so the tins don't sound quite so empty -well at least until DS1&2 arrive.
2. Prepped a load of onions and froze them for future use. Still got another load to do as well.
3. Yesterday I decided that I really did NEED a food processor and checked out Argos and Comet websites. Found a Kenwood Multi Pro (in Comet) reduced from £119.99 to £59.99 which seemed like a good buy so sent OH out with my 'good-girl bonus vouchers' from work - so it's actually cost me nothing at all.
4. Decided that we no longer need Caitlin's babywalker, so freecycled it yesterday afternoon. 2 askers who both said please and thank you - so told the first one to come for it this afternoon.
5. Played with 'my new toy' this morning and sliced some carrots for evening meal and freezing - gonna tackle the remaining onions later.
6. Babywalker has just gone, so another successful freecycle experience. OH has found two baby exercise mats/playgym things - so can advertise those as well now.
7. Got a lovely piece of rib of beef (whoopsied of course) in the oven for evening meal. Will have it with mashed & roast pots, steamed carrots & leeks, yorkshires and gravy.
8. The last of the laundry is just about dry on the line outside.
Now I need to find time to do my course assignment and get the house straightened up before a visit from my Line Manager tomorrow - Annual Competency Review is due.
I'll pop back in again later and see how everybody else has been getting on.

That thought did cross my mind but I was trying to suppress it
Just recalled my OS joy from saturday....went to the supermarket to do my big weekly shop and got ALL my fruit and veg on special offermade 4 portion of stew for 25p
August grocery challenge: £50

Hi everyone & welcome back. It's amazing how much I've done without the forums been on
My five for today & yesterday are:
1. Washing got dried today even though it's been dull with sunny spells.
2. Having an argument with DS2 (definitley NOT a pleasure) and then sitting down & talking to him about it instead of us both shouting (that was the pleasure)
3. Listening to & watching the kids on the trampoline that has only gone back up this weekend.
4. The forums being open again :T
5. Reading the Sunday paper from cover to cover.0 -
Sunnygirl - quick do another post - you're on 666 !0

Here we go, just time enough for this before starting to cook tea.
1) Discovering a quicker way for us to walk to the supermarket - healthy and energy-saving
2) I've discovered how good the odd random bunch of flowers makes me feel. I bought a small bunch of freesias (my favourites) from the supermarket while we were there, and they have lifted my spirit so much.
3) Writing my meal plan after having weeks of apathy about it. I feel like I'm getting back on the OS track.
4) Seeing all the butterflies around this year. It feels like spring has finally sprung.
5) Getting a notepad and pen, and starting a "to-do" list for myself to start decluttering a bit.

1. Reorganised all my books, dusting behind the shelves (I could have planted potatoes in all that dust
), and setting aside 20 to give to charity, so I made some much needed space.
2. I used up the last bits of vegs in the fridge and made a vegetable hodge podge (just cooked them really) and ate them with a boiled egg. Simple, homely, healthy and CHEAP.
3) Cut up a new microfibre cloth in four pieces (6x6 inches approximately) so I have four small ones which are handy for lots of things, and will last me longer than the one piece cloth would have.
4) Surfing the net in silence - not TV, no HiFi on, just silence. Saves electricity and is a balm for the spirit as it's all quiet in the neighbourhood at the moment.
5) Making a list, as I go along and think of something, of stuff I want to do over Easter: more clearing up and re-using things.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -
Olliebeak so you've succumbed to a food processer, mine's a Kenwood as well but only the small one as I already have a Kenwood Chef and didn't want to take up too much space. I love mine, hope you will have many happy hours with yours.
My pleasures for the last two days:-
1. Sowing more seeds for veg and salad to keep a succession going.
2. A visit to a craft shop to get a replacement blade for my trimmer and buying one or two more things.
3. Playing with my new craft goodies.
4. Mixed berry muffins (made Friday) for tea were lovely.
5. Sooooo glad the forums back.
