Here's mine from the last few days:

    1. drying washing outside at the weekend - smells so much better.
    2. Spring cleaning my wardrobe and under the bed.
    3. Joining the local library (first time in about 15 years) and finding some slow cooker books ;)
    4. Going for a long walk in the sunshine yesterday lunch time and feeling better for it.
    5. A good night's sleep yesterday (after the walk I think)
    6. Having a wedding invite - got about 6 weeks or so to tone up and get the rest of my outfit (a la charity style - got shoes and a top just need a skirt and cardi) ;)
    7. Having had over a week now successfully avoiding sesame seeds (they make me very sick) and actually not missing bread products too much.
    8. Washing and putting away the winter blankets.
    9. Contemplating turning the heating off completely - it's turned down really low (especially as I pay the bill ;))
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

    9. winning 2 free tickets to 50 Dead Men Walking from Lovefilm

    Monday

    1. Selling another book on Green Metropolis - this was a very difficult one to shift on the Holocaust which I got stuck with for one of my book clubs and thought I would never sell

    2. Free Starbucks

    3. Sophie Scholl on video

    4. LO roast spuds made into hash with 4 M&S value sausages chopped and fried in with garlic and a splash of red wine

This has happened to me several times lately. I always get a free reservation but I'd prefer to actually be able to pick the book from the shelf myself and save everyone's time. If you decide you don't want a book anymore at least leave it on a table or trolley, or best of all put it back in the right section.)

    10. Heroes and No 1 Ladies Detective Agency

11 Cheap Mini Egg Easter egg from Wilkos

    12. being told I have won a Liz Earle Hot Cloth cleanser and muslin cloth from the Mail.

    Mine for the past few days are;
    1) Stayed with my parents this weekend who made me & ds very welcome - their guest room was specially prepared for our arrival & dm made hm bacon & lentil soup - It was lovely.
    2) Celebrated dm's birthday with all the family - so nice us all being together at the same time espically watching the children playing together. _party_
    3) Celebrated dn's birthday & watched my dd jumping about on her birthday present - a trampoline (he's 59 but young at heart) :j
    4) Returning back to my own house, slobbing about in my pj's then sleeping in my own bed - as nice as my stay was it was good to be home & relax a bit more. :coffee:
    5) Welcoming my dh back home after his trip away - I missed him so much & the feeling was mutual

    • Watching OH peg out and take in the washing!
    • Home made walnut bread
    • Using star drops with amonia (Starclen) to bring up the patio sparkling insted of an expensive specialist cleaner.
    • Using my timer to clean in short bursts ala Flylady, but it looks like I've cleaned all day!
    • Pondering what to put in the slow cooker, (bacon and lentil soup I think) so that I can relax and enjoy the afternoon in the garden and still have tea ready on time!
Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

    My five for today are
    • Having the surprise of a quick 'pop in' visit from my parents & to find out that Dad drove down - he's not driven much since the stroke, partly because he couldn't for a month & partly because he'd lost some confidence so it was nice to see him behind the wheel :T
    • Listening to the little girls next door arguing over who was going to have the 'best' doll in their pram :D
    • Having an hour at lunchtime to read the paper, write my shopping list & do the crossword IN PEACE!
    • The anticipated pleasure of a hot bath shortly.
    • Watching the dog be scared of one of the cats after he'd play bowed to it three times. The cat gave him a glare & the dog went all 'who me?' with lots of looking away & dropping his head :rotfl:
I hope that everyone has had good days & a good evening to come.

seeing my seedling starting to poke the soil, planted up a ancient trough with baby leaf salad seeds (free from somewhere!)

free eye test at D&A, ok not really a pleasure, but free!

ok a bit naughty but... phoned DH and heard 2 kids arguing and screaming in background so told him I would get the bus right away but stopped and had latte and chocolate in lush italian deli in town before heading back home, he was none the wiser and that felt so good!

Seeing DS2 face at gong on miniture train ride, was so excited! bless

repotting my cucumber plants into larger pots, my veg growing for the year is going great!

an evening to myself with a glass of wine as DH is out!!!!!

    Hello folks.
Here are mine before I head off for an early night
    1. glorious sunshine all day
    2. walking dogs and letting old stiffie off the lead and enjoying watching her trot along and not overdo it!
    3. collecting older dog's tablets, which have rejuvenated her (again) from the vet and enjoying a chat with the lovely receptionist
    4. painting half my bedroom - 2 coats as well!!
    5. beginning to declutter again and really enjoying throwing stuff out - including very out of date spices and mustard. Also took a bag of clothes and books to the charity shop.

Hoping you all have a peaceful night and sweet dreams

  • Hi everyone

My five for yesterday and today

    1. Romantic dinner with OH, he just hasn't felt like dining out for ages, so it really felt like we were getting our old life back.

    2. Its raining and cold here today, so I plan to watch a dvd, just me the cat and a blanket (to entice the cat to stay with me)

    3. Weaving lesson this morning.

    4. Winky the house Elf, thanks for the inspiration, bacon and lentil soup sounds great for dinner.

    5. OH and I weeded a large patch of the vegetable garden yesterday, another job that I had 'let go' so its great to see it start to get back under control.

    6. The realisation that it is these little pleasures that make up the fabric of our lives, and they are the things that mean so much.

    Blessings be
    Jennie
