Five OS Pleasures in your day today

Hello everyone.
My OS blessings for the day:
1. Getting a lovely cheerful text from DD
2. Having a nice chat with DS on the phone - he has been feeling down lately so it was lovely to chat to him and hear him animated about something.
3. Enjoying chopping veg and making a big pot of soup tonight - very soothing thing to do.
4. Having a lovely supportive PM from someone who has helped more than she knows
5. Looking forward to getting into freshly made bed (with new mattress - delivered today free and reasonably priced!)
Goodnight all and sweet dreams

1. A very different day today due to DH being on holiday.
2. Going to a National Trust property and having lunch there, not at all OS and the only money saving thing about it is that we don't do it very often.
3. The daffodils.
4. The spring lambs.
5. Not having to cook a meal tonight, and an extra pleasure
6. Not having to make a packed lunch for DH tomorrow as he is at home.

It sounds as though most of us had a good day, I always wake up in the morning determined it's going to be a good one. Some days though it seems that waking up is a blessing in itself :rotfl:
Wednesday blessings...
1. Started my lazy morning with a long bath followed by a cup of green tea and a chapter of my book.
2. Pottered around the garden to do some tidying after the winds we had yesterday - not quite a gale but enough to do some damage in one or two of the neighbour's gardens. However I managed to rescue everything and all is well out there
3.Printed a voucher courtesy of Mr S to give to DGD so she can have a free game of 10-pin bowling. She's really very good at it, whereas I still have to have the rails up
4. A lovely long chat with DM as usual this evening, she said she had an iced bun in her fridge which she thought was a little stale, so she decided to freshen it up by putting it in her microwave - for 5 minutes:eek: . She tells me the cleaning up took even longer!
5. DNeighbour went to Mr T this evening and brought me back some blueberry muffins, yummy. She always seems to time it so she gets to the bakery counter just as they're YS'ing all the goodies, and she knows how I love blueberry muffins, bless her.
Night night everyone, sweet dreams

Morning all,
1. I woke up earlier this morning, am sure my body is sensing the clocks are about to change!
2. Sardines on toast last night (Lidl sardines in tomato about 45p), I haven't had them for ages. Only spoilt by a mad cat looking at me as if to say, thats premium cat food you're eating. Of course I shared some. Same cat is furiously nudging me as I type, hoping for sardines again.
3. Watching Indian food made easy on telly last night (she used mango powder, am sure someone here recently bought some) for spicy okra
http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/spicedfriedokra_86577.shtml
4. Getting Tilda rice on offer at Asda. Not quite OS but their pilau rice won a taste award by Good Housekeeping, needs just 5 mins to cook, so great for HM ish Indian meal.
5. Seeing a large Fondant Fancy cake (Mr Kipling) in Asda - it was huge, so great for a birthday!
6. Watching an Inconvenient Truth last night. Am going to try to buy more plants/trees as birthday presents this year, especially lavender for the bees. Also to pack a strong bag (or 3) when shopping. And to keep finding ways of not having things on standby. The printer is now plugged into a point I can easily reach to turn it on/off.
Noticed most blessings have been about food today:o Right more paperwork to attend to, plus my budget spreadsheet.mineallmine - 'give myself a hug!' I just love it and I am going to start doing that from today!Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
