    Morning all,

Good to hear the op went well in kiwiblue's house, what a relief. I can see ampersand is thanking people, hope to see a post from her soon, even if it's just one OS thing to be thankful for.

    1. Getting on with paperwork this morning, felt very tired but I've been putting it off, so started with something easy and worked my way up.

    2. Getting washing and dish-washing done this morning (all whilst I'm on here)

    3. A nice cup of sweet tea.

    4. Doing my spreadsheet/cash reconciling: I spend a lot on food  but spreadsheet in order

    5. Thinking about what to do today, don't want to do work all day, the sun is out, need to find a way of enjoying it.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!"
Less things. Less stuff. More life.

Kiwi, I'm so pleased to hear your DH's op went well :)

I'm very tired again today, so finding everything hard work, however here are mine from today and yesterday...

    - coming home to find my Dad and OH had worked hard to empty my backyard of rubble and move my shed
    - planting out my radish seedlings (first time I've grown my own veg, fingers crossed!!)
    - beautiful, warm sunshine whilst I walked around town for work
    - car boot gems, including an old dolly tub to grow some potatoes in
    - ordering two £1 hydrangea plants (one for me, one for mum) and a set of three raspberry canes for my backyard for just over a fiver
    - buying local veggies from the market

Before the weekend is over I'm hoping to add...

    - putting washing outside to dry
    - filing the basket full of paperwork away
    - cleaned kitchen
    - hoovered through

Well done Bibbitybob on having a go at growing some veg this year. I had a go last year and was delighted to have 'cut and come again' salad leaves all summer and into September, chives, parsley, basil and coriander. Unfortunately my radishes weren't successful at all - think I sowed too many and didn't thin them out :(.

Congratulations on getting your decking/plants sorted, jvs - sounds like you've had a very productive weekend :D.

Mineallmine - how organised you are :T. I can do 'spreadsheets' but I just know that I'd never keep up-to-date with them. I think I might just have a go with a small accounts notebook - more likely to remember to keep track that way. I could keep it in my shoulder bag and then use my 'me-coffee-time' in Asda to tally it all up while I've still got the receipt handy :D.

Kiwiblue so pleased to log on and hear that your OH op went well. Blessings and prayers to you both!

Lovely to read about everyone enjoying the sunshine this weekend - it really felt like spring had sprung!

    1. We went for a lovely hike yesterday - managed 12 miles around the valley with some stunning views to enjoy!
    2. Enjoying a picnic and flask of tea in the sunshine.
    3. Coming home to chicken stew all ready to be heated up and eaten some baked spuds from our veg box.
    4. A phone call from my lovely baby cousin to wish me well with my new job tomorrow (she is not really a baby - she is 21 and at least 7 inches taller than me! but she'll always be my baby!!)
    5. A batch of cinnamon and raisin muffins I've just taken out of the oven
    6. Snuggling up with a cuppa and the new Kate Atkinson from the library

I'm off to do some last minute grooming and nail polishing now and then HM spag bol and a nice glass of red with OH, and an early night for me!

    Hugs to all.
Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'

    Hi all

Kiwiblue, I am delighted about the good news re. your DH's op!

I am just back from a weekend training in Permaculture and am very tired so did not read everything in great details, if I have missed something important please be patient with me, I shall go back and read all the posts I just skimmed when I have a little time tomorrow.

Meanwhile my pleasures for the past two days (all together):

1 - DH came with me to do the permaculture training, it was great to have him with me!

2 - Fabulous weather on both days

3 - Excellent venues, especially on Saturday (community vegetable gardens with a huge greenhouse and marvelous ornamental garden too)

4 - Both days the lunch food was to die for (temporarily gave up SW but it was well worth)

5 - Interesting course, lots of new ideas about design and implementation of holistic ideas

6 - Very pleasant people on the course

7 - Felt able to participate but also to keep myself to myself when I needed to

8 - Last night dinner: Indian takeaway!

9 - Came back home tonight and found that DD and her BF had cooked a lovely veg soup and that we did not have to cook

10 - To be back in the quiet of my home and not to have to think about anything until tomorrow!

    Good night everybody xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    2. My Mum's choked reaction to her cross stitched card & bunch of flowers I got her.

    3. A lovely family dinner of roast chicken, new pots & salad.

    4. Watching my youngest walk on stilts outside. He came in & asked me to go and watch him :T

    5. Seeing my MIL looking much more cheerful when we went to see her this morning.

I've just had a bath so am in my pajama's & new slippers ready for Desp Housewives ;) Hope that everyobe else has a good evening xxx

Kiwiblue and DH - I am so pleased that DH's op was a success. :j Get lots of TLC - both of you! Ampersand - hope all is well with you.

    My five for Sunday:

    1. Making a revised plan for everything that needs to be organised, bought or planted for our garden.

    2. Getting a form completed and ready to post to claim public lending rights on my books at long last.

    3. Getting the rhubarb planted out. Even if the weather gets cold again, rhubarb is supposed to be pretty hardy and it's great to get something planted outside at last. Am reluctant to plant anything else that will have to stay outdoors overnight for a while yet.

    4. Having a substantial afternoon nap. Am really, really tired at the moment and need my siestas :D .

    5. My bed sheets washed and line dried so that my bed tonight will be gorgeous to get into.

    Sweet dreams x

Wow, KarrieBee - how energetic you and your OH are! A 12 mile hike - oh for the days when my knees would have managed that ;). I don't know where you live but it sounds idyllic :). Good luck for tomorrow with the new job - though I'm sure you won't really need 'luck' at all.

Sounds like a very inspiring weekend, Caterina :D - it's good when OH's are on the exact same wavelength as we are.

I haven't seen anything of Ampersand for a few days - does anybody know if she's alright - or have I missed something in her postings?

:hello: Kiwiblue and OH hope you managed a good sleep and that you have settled back into your home routine again. Thinking about you both and wishing a speedy recovery.

    Today's blessings:

    1. A lovely relaxing morning with phonecalls from all of my lovely children.

    2. Spending time with DD and two of her children this afternoon - including lunch in Asda :D.

    3. Visit from DS2, g/f and 2 dgs at tea-time - including home-baked goodies. For once dgs3 didn't puke all over me - he got his dad instead (awww bless)!

    4. Visit from DS1, g/f and her little boy to round off the day.

    5. Finally managed to catch up with my mother around 10.30! She was having a lie-in this morning, then she went out for lunch, then I was out, then I had visitors, then she went to Bingo! Felt as if I was chasing her all day! She'd had a lovely day and won £10 at Bingo :D.

    6. And one final one - tho a little off-topic - Congratulations to Ray Quinn and Maria on winning Dancing on Ice :T - really completed my day!
