Ampersand thinking of you and hoping you'll feel up to posting again soon.
Olliebeak I hope the anti-b's are kicking in and you'll soon be back on top
jvs I do agree re school uniform, may we never adopt the American system of students wearing anything and everything to school. Dreadful!
KarrieBee good luck for Monday, have a restful weekend!
Friday blessings...
1. The small bedroom is finished, it looks lovely, clean and fresh. Now just waiting for DSiL to get over his chest infection so he can fit my apricot yogurt carpet
2. Postie brought me some goodies to trial, plus a small tube of Olay 30 second wrinkle filler (it'll take a bigger tube than that to fill all of mine!) and three packs of seeds - chives, spring onions and lettuce. If I keep this up I'll be catching up with reverbe and all her goodies
3. Chats on the phone with DD, DS and DM - and it isn't even Sunday
4. Boiled all the veggie peelings and got a good half pint of stock to make gravy, to go with the chicken, parsnips, leeks, sprouts and roasties for dinner.
5. A nice quiet evening having a leisurely bath and relaxing in my jimmies while watching Shirley Valentine on video. I love that film
Night night everyone, sweet dreams

Hello all
Another lovely day, Hope everyone is feeling hunky dory!
My 5 for yesterday
1. Out in the garden on the swing - I find the stresses just fall away once I sit on that swing
2. More sorting in the study - I am now almost able to see the wood for the trees!
3. DH coming home early from work and pruning the trees in the back garden and getting the decking ready for staining
4. Ashamedly I had forgotten 6 small packets of miniature bulbs in the shed - when I found them they had all sprouted - one tiny daffodil was even flowering so planted them up and hope they will continue their will to live
5. Tidied up the pots as they were taken off the decking. Looking much better now
Won't have time later to post so here are my 5 for today before it has really started!!

Hi everybody :hello:
How typical of our British weather - lovely and sunny all week, then come Saturday it's back to overcast, dull, chilly etc. - hohum, c'est la vie!
Thanks for the kind thoughts, sparrer - the anti's appear to be kicking in now and the coughing is getting less and less.
1. SC went on this morning at 8.00am with a lovely scouse in it - dumplings to go in later mmmmmmmmm.
2. 2 lots of laundry done and now drying on the airer and radiator rails.
3. Managed to bake 2 lots of scones (one lot fruit and other lot plain sweet ones) - need something in the cake tin for when my lot descend on me tomorrow; - Lemon Drizzle Cake to go in later!
4. Going for a shower in a few minutes - 3.15 is a bit late in the day to be sitting here in my nightie, even for me !
5. Have remembered to take a frozen chicken out of the freezer. Roast chicken, mashed pots, honey roasted parsnips, broccoli, stuffing and gravy for lunch tomorrow.
6. As a Mother's Day treat, I bought myself an Extra Special Chocolate Gateau (on whoopsie naturally!) during the week - was marked best before 18.3.2009 - but that don't bother me!
Hope everybody is having a good Moneysaving OS Saturday today. I'll pop in again later and catch up with all the posts.
love Ollie xxx0 -
Hello all
My 5 are:
1. Enjoying beautiful sunshine - really, really love spring
2. Washed all dishes and de-cluttered the area around sink and windowsill so all that is left there now are my lovely geraniums in a pot, a radio on the side and a few favourite stones. It looks so fresh and clear. I find my mind settles much more easily when the clutter has gone.
3. Got all the shopping done this morning with DH's help so that is us stocked up for the week. Really enjoyed doing it together.
4. Collected a book I had reserved at the library - Sylvia's Lovers by Elizabeth Gaskell.
5. Dogs lying in a sunny spot, fast asleep. They look soooo sweet and who would believe what they can get up tp??? Well, one of them anyway.
I hope everyone finds some OS joy this weekend

Isn't this sunshine wonderful after our miserable winter?
Today's pleasures:
1. Discovering that a pair of blue tits have moved into a nest box we erected in
our garden a few weeks ago. (Right beside the veggie patch unfortunately so I'm
worried my activities there might disturb them and force them to move out.
2. Discovering an old nest box in our potting shed and resurrecting it back in the
garden in the hope that another pair of birds might move in..
3. Attending Community Event in our village - all the voluntary organisations had
got together to mount a showcase Exhibition showing what they do in the
community.
4. Sowing some carrot & Swiss Chard seeds in the veggie patch.
5. Afternoon tea in the garden.0 -
Hi all,
Lovely sunny, albeit cool, day here.
1. Starting the day at the butchers and him not flinching at me saying...can I have 2 slices of that, one of those and 2 sausages etc. I feel I get a variety of things for my money and he's always so polite.
2. Spending the afternoon asleep in the summerhouse, with a warm fleece blanket.
3. Doing puzzles in the paper.
4. Getting Ideal Home Magazine which includes a free ticket to the Ideal Home Show, yippee
5. Knowing I'll track my spending on a spreadsheet which will take away my fuzzy head feeling of, what have I spent this week
6. Reserving some books at the library (free to do) - saves me buying them and saves cluttering up the house
7. Clearing out the freezer, some things were very old - and the space allowed me to replace the prehistoric stuff with current favourites
8. Giving some spare energy bulbs (which I got with a newspaper offer) to a friend who used them straight away
:ADeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage
:cool2: Cherryprint: "More stuff = more stuff to tidy up!" Less things. Less stuff. More life.Fab thread: Long daily walks
