Lovely to read all your blessings.
Mine from yesterday/ this morning:
1. Lovely sunshine yesterday and everyone at work seemed full of the joys of spring
2. Jog (and of course part walk) down at the common with DH and our 2 dogs. I used to do this from April - whenever it got too dark to take dogs down to common in early evening. I missed last year and have become a bit unfit!!
3. Healthy tea of turkey steaks and salad after that
4. Watched the last episode of Larkrise to Candleford which I had taped
5. Although I woke up early this morning (toooo early), the sun is shining and i got a lovely welcome from the doggies when I came down
Positive thoughts to all

Hello all - thanks for all your comments on Tiggy-tiger - he was a very handsome cat
.
Welcome to all our newcomers to the thread :hello: and hope your finger is soon better, Patchwork. You'd think, by now, some clever bod could come up with a safer option for corned beef and sardine tins.
Blessings for yesterday:
1. What a beautiful morning - certainly put some smiles on people's faces. I could even hear a difference in the voices of my 'tenants' when I said Good Morning to them on the intercom system.
2. Phone call from a Housing Officer offering me a chance to assist with a viewing on my one remaining empty bungalow. The couple who viewed last week refused it because they'd heard bad things about the area. Given where they were moving from, I'm amazed that it would put them off. So it's 'fingers crossed' for 11.00 this morning
.
3. Managed to sort out a 'transport problem' for a lady who is finding it increasingly difficult to walk to the local bus stops to go out anywhere. The local Disability Bus Service (Merseylink) should be able to give her back some of her freedom to go a-wandering again.
4. Visit from DS1 and some of his colleagues at lunchtime - managed to feed them all from the remaining whoopsie ham from the day before and sent them away with some Twinks in their pockets. Not quite sure what they think I am - some kind of transport caff
.
5. Phonecall from DS2's g/f to ask for my recipe for Scouse. Makes me feel kind of proud that this lovely young woman thinks enough of me to ask for a recipe.

Hello again, I loved the thread so much yesterday, I thought I'd come back for more
Today's:
1. The sun is shining
2. An ex boyfriend who I treasure dearly as a friend hasn't given up on me (I've been ignoring his calls for a couple of months), and called out of the blue to see how I am. So, whilst I'm melancholy as it always reminds me of various past events, I'm also relieved that whilst I'm feeling desperately lonely and in need of a hug again, I have a friend who would oblige if I asked him, lol.
3. Always happy on a Thursday as its my last working day of the week so I can start to relax, scratch that, start making all the goodies for DD's party. Still determined to make everything myself and not go and buy cheapy cakes instead. Will see how I feel this time tomorrow, as my oven temperature seems to fluctuate, lol.
4. DD gave me the best cuddles in the world this morning and said how happy she was to have me as her mummy
5. I was given a voucher for a free chocolate milk when I popped out for a diet coke, so hopefully the lack of calories in the pop will counteract the fat in the milky drink.....fingers crossed!
6. I think I've finished the packing for the big office move, so can relax a bit and maybe leave a bit early, am hoping to take DD down to Brighton for a stroll on the beach if I can. We live just 10 miles away but don't go down enough, determined to make this the year we take full advantage of our location - Downs to one side, beach to the other, I'm so lucky we live where we do0 -
Good afternoon all!
My pleasures for the day:
1 - The weather - never fails to energise me when the sun is shining!
2 - So full of energy that I did an early yoga class
3 - Then I still had some energy left so I did 3/4 of an aerobics class (left before the stretches as I was well stretched with the yoga).
4 - Women's event, free foot and leg massage.
5 - Women's event, free lunch of sandwiches, fish fritters, plantain, bits of fruit and vegetables. Very enjoyable.
6 - About to make myself a pot of tea and anticipating it with great pleasure, together with a few chocolate digestives.
7 - DD not in today so I am planning an easy dinner of salmon fish fingers with steamed veg and potatoes, nothing too hard to make (DD is 100% veg so I tend to make fish when she is at her bf's).
Have a great evening everybody xxxFinally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Afternoon all! Not so sunny here today but i still have high hopes for the weekend!
1. Finally getting round to sewing a new peg bag, luckily had a scrap of material just right for the job
2. Getting on with the spring cleaning before i start work next week - yes it is a pleasure as when it is done we will have a lot less clutter and it will eb easier to keep the place tidy!
3. LO risotto for lunch - nice and warming after a rather cold walk
4. Meeting some lovely ladies at the local library for a book club project I am working on
5. Getting a brand new dress from the hospice shop for 7.50 - it is a rather expensive make - would be about £80 in the shops so was very pleased with my find!
