Hello all
My dark clouds have started to lift so I am able to appreciate the nice things in life again & I have enjoyed reading the many posts on here & lovely to see some new posters too - welcome all x
Here are my pleasures for the weekend;
Saturday
1) Gettings 3 loads of clothes washed & then dried outside.
2) Having a mid afternoon nap cuddled on the sofa with ds.
3) Watching my bunny Primrose (who Ive recently discovered is a boy so may have to think of a new name!) discover his new surroundings in his new hutch as he has had to be seperated from a pregnant Daisy Boo for the time being.
4) Laughing with tears strolling down my cheeks watching Comic Relief Dancing programme. :rotfl:
5) Reading a magazine (that had been passed onto me from dm) in bed - a real treat as until recently my ds used to sleep in our bed so unable to do this.
Sunday
1) Ironing all the clothes that had been washed & dried the day before - so now have an empty ironing basket. :j
2) Making a chicken & veg soup & putting in s/c to cook overnight - feels good knowing that tomorrows tea is already taken care of.
3) Using the carrot tops & skins from the chopped veg to feed my grateful bunnies.
4) Moved my bird table to a more secluded area in the garden & put out bread & nuts on table & even the roof to encorage more birdies - also scattered some of the bunnies hay around the bottom for nest buildings - hope it does the trick.
5) Enjoyed watching Dancing on Ice - sad to see Colleen go as she does make me smile- but happy with the overall result & looking forward to the final next week.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekends xxx0 -
Evening all!
My five for Sunday:
1. Finding an almond biscuit recipe for somebody else that led to me being told about a new way to adapt it nut free. We'll try it.
2. Finding out a potentially cheap way to enable DS1 to start going to the gym again. We hadn't been able to carry on with the DD payments.
3 DS1 talking to me about how much he is enjoying walking into town (2 miles or so) rather than getting the bus and how good it is to be saving the bus fare (and that it's quicker, in the rush hour, to get home on foot!)
4 DS1 being in town seeing friends this afternoon while DS2 played out in the street with his mates so that I could get on with writing again. Everyone was happy!
5. Collectively getting ontop of the cleaning, tidying, recycling, rubbish... and making headway with the handwashing situation - we still don't have a machine.

4) Frogging a jumper form a charity shop and being able to salvage about 90% of it
5) Making a new friend on RavelrySurviving the ups and downs of life with DH

Morning all! lovely to see posts from new posters as well as the the old favourites, reading this has been a lovely way to start the day!
Mine for Sunday:
1. a lie in and a cuppa with DH
2. Yummy sandwich in the local art gallery followed by a wander round. The gallery is free and the cafe is much cheaper than eating in town and much nicer too.
3. Calling my oldest friend for a catch up - and planning a visit from her soon - yay!
4. Going to a concert by the community symphony orchestra - it was part of my birthday present to DH and we both really enjoyed it.
5. Flopping on the sofa when we got in and then enjoying farmers market lamb and mint sausages with celeriac mash - with 2 portions for the freezer as we had a bit of a veg box glut going on!
Hope everyone had a good weekend and Monday!
blessings and hugs to all ((()))Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it!'0 -
