    Hello all
    My 5 pleasures for today have been;

    1) Tasting my lentil & bacon soup 1st thing in the morning after it had cooked all night in s/c & being delighted (& a little surprised) that it tasted delicious & as good as dm's which is amazing considering it was my 1st attempt. :j
    2) Deciding to wear a different coat today & finding £2.75 in my pocket - which covered my train fare! ;)
    3) Being met off the train by dm & dn - a lovely nice surprise for me & ds.
    4) Having a bit of me time as ds asleep in bed & hubby at the pub (this ok as he is using drink vouchers he won at last weeks quiz nite so not costing a penny)
    5) Watchin Jade Goodys wedding on tv & while admiring & a very brave young women :A also feeling very very grateful for my own & my families good health.

    Yesterday's pleasures:-

    1. Not at all OS, but getting my new dishwasher fitted does mean I have time for more OS things.

    2. Somehow getting all the household chores fitted around the gross interruption of the dishwasher fitting and not even noticing that I had done them - must try this again, better than feeling snowed under and bogged down with jobs all morning.

    3. At the risk of being boring, I made more cards. I need to do lots to sell to cover my gross expenditure in the craft shop on Monday.

    4. Corned beef hash made in the remoska from an idea picked up on the Remoska thread, it was yummy, will do it again.

    5. Watched more craft videos on youtube - I love it.

    Bella.

  • Hi everyone

    1. Oh's cousin and his wife spent last night with us, they are from Cambridge, UK and OH had a great time discussing the similarities and differences of village life here and in the UK.

    2. Seeing our environment through their eyes, makes me appreciate how blessed we are.

    3. Digging for pipis (similar to clams) on the beach with OH, getting enough to make clam chowder for tomorrow nights dinner.

    4. Getting caught in the waves while above, and really enjoying the warm waves, and the sensation of the waves rushing back out while trying to anchor yourself in the waves - great fun.

    5. Sensational sunsets - not sure if its because of the Australian bush fires but they have been so spectacular lately.

    Blessings be

    Jennie

Thank you! It is a way of life and it gets a bit addictive but sometimes it makes life difficult for the rest of the family! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi all

Sorry I have missed a couple of days, been busy here and there.

Here are my five for yesterday:

1 - Herbal clinic, the woman who sees me said that I have made amazing improvement in my health since I started attending last year. It is good to be reminded!

2 - Bought loads of nuts and fruits in Holland and Barrett, buy one get second half price. Now cupboards are full of good healthy treats and at avery reasonable price!

3 - Friend visited and brought me books and dvds that she picks up at the charity shop where she works, and that would otherwise be thrown away. I pass most of them to the community centre and they sell them for 20p a shot, but the other day she brought be a real gem, the complete book of sewing (by Dorling Kindersley) which I had intended to buy!

4 - Bought 2 for price of 1 salmon fish fingers in Mr S and they were the best fish fingers I have ever eaten, and DH and DS agree. Got to make another trip and stock freezer before the offer expires!

5 - We are getting loads of swede in the organic veg box, but the good thing is that the whole family LOVES swede!

    My five for today:

1 - Pilates class, very gentle and it helped with the aches and pains - motivated me to go more often to do more exercise!

2 - After going to the PO Box I walked back home across the heath and saw swans and geese in the pond.

3 - The weather feels much milder and there seems to be no frost in the air - perhaps spring is coming in for real!

4 - Nice lunch of leftover salad with beans and cheese crumbles and rice and peas soup for something warm.

5 - 2 ryvitas and strawberry jam eaten while having a nice pot of tea while working. Who needs biscuits?

    Love to all xxx
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

Hi everyone been a busy few days here but here are mine for today:

    1. Despite having my old Labrador put down this morning due to her back legs going completely - I am blessed to have had her for 14 years filled with laughter, exasperation at times, plenty of chewing & hair and lots of cuddles. Penny - you were and always will be an angel.

    2. Having a rare hug from my Dad (doesn't do affection more a practical help guy) when I was upset this morning returning from the vets.

    3. A cup of tea & a bar of chocolate about 20 mins ago :EasterBun

    4. An anticipated relaxing day tomorrow with only the other dog to walk & washing to do.

    5. A friend request from someone on Facebook that I haven't seen for over 20 years.

    6. The wonderful, kind, loving & supportive people on the OS board - you guys really rock :A :A :A

Blessings aplenty for all this weekend. (((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) if you need one & special thoughts for everyone xxx

Reverbe It's not a blessings thing really but I noticed a couple of weeks ago that you had, like me, put watching Desperate Housewives as one of yours :D :j I saw a trailer yesterday on This Morning (Phil & Fern) for interviews with the cast of Desp H'Wives :T :j I wondered if you wanted to keep your eye out next week. They didn't say which day as they were trailing it to obviously keep everyone watching but I'll be keeping an eye out. Hope you're feeling brighter ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))).
