Five OS Pleasures in your day today

Five pleasures from me for Wednesday:
1. 5 year old (& packet had already been opened and part used) red basil seeds are sprouting; 3 year old (& packet had already been opened and part used) parsley is sprouting
; 8 year old (unopened packet) greek oregano seeds are sprouting
. Isn't nature clever?
2. Listening to a very interesting OU CD for my course.
3. Laughing lots with DS2 while doing the very stodgy spelling, handwriting and grammar catch-up work he needs to do. We have found out how to make it fun.
4. Having a very basic broccoli, carrots and baked potato with cheese while sitting in the car waiting for DS1 to finish an evening class. When we are pushed for time like tonight we take home-cooked supper with us to wherever we have to get to.
5. Sorting out resources for the workshop I am running tomorrow. I feel more organised now.
Sleep well everyone.0 -
Wednesday pleasures:-
1. A bus ride (free) to Mr. A. It takes half and hour through green fields and I find it very up lifting.
2. Saved about 3 or 4 £££ in Mr. A on whoopsies and roll backs, not as much as I had hoped for but every little helps.
3. Finding a parcel on the doormat containing decoupage sheets from a friend to whom I had given some crafted cards on Saturday.
4. Finding lots of card making videos on youtube:j
5. Another afternoon spent making cards now that I have lots of inspiration from youtube:T

I was sure I posted yesterday but I guess I only imagined I did! Worryign to start having senior moments when I'm only 29!
Weds blessings
1. Seeing the first lambs of spring
2. Getting a free loaf to try in our veg box - and the contents of the veg box!
3. A lovely trip over the hills in the sunshine
4. HM spicy carrot soup and HM bread for lunch, with OH for a change as Weds is his research day and he is at home
5. Going to a meeting of our local gardening network, I met some really interesting people and there is a chance to get some more growing space.
Hugs to all

Karibee -you're not the only one having senior moments- though I am a bit more entitled to them being almost twice you age! I came on earlier, read all the posts then forgot to add my own|!
So here they are now:
1. Sleeping in my own bed again last night snuggled up to DH.
2. 2.lovely walks in the sunshine today.
3. Bargain teabags.
4. Washing getting blown dry outside.
5. Chat with a neighbour.0 -
Good evening everyone - my five for today:
1. Coming home from work to find ds and dd making a "domino" track through the kitchen and front room with all our dvds - great fun, it worked really well :j
2. Watching them tidy up again without a murmur
3. Not OS but chips from the chippy for tea :T
4. Planning for Red Nose Today tomorrow at work.
5. Sipping a glass of chilled white wine - lovely
Take care everyone xxx0 -
Going to post my five for today a bit earlier:
1. Getting the Blue Peter flower seeds and bee stickers in the post today. DS1 is involved in some wildlife work where he'll be able to share the stickers with lots of children and we'll plant the seeds in the (soon to be cleared out) pots by our front door.
2. Running the workshop today and getting lots of lovely comments from children and parents. I must work out how to do more of this stuff - I think it's one of my strengths. I've definitely got another book in the making.
3. DS1 making pasta for supper and DS2 making orange pancakes for pudding (his idea and he just got on with it)
4. Really enjoying having moved our telly from the sitting room into the kitchen. (I haven't cancelled the licence yet.) The computer is in the sitting room and I can work in here in more peaceful surroundings, or with the radio on.
5. Selling some more bits and pieces - I like it when decluttering adds to the money coming in!
Hugs to all.0 -
Lots of lovely blessings from everybody today, it isn't always the big stuff that is so pleasurable but the little day-to-day happenings..
Thursday blessings..
1. Visited DD this morning, DGD1 was at home as she's in 6th form and doesn't have to go in all day now. While I was there she had a phone call to say she's got the weekend job she wanted so much :j
2. DD's parrot pushing his head against the bars for a stroke, then tutting every time I stopped . He had us in hysterics:rotfl:
3. Had to go to Mr A which was tiring, I was surprised at the amount of people in there this morning. However I found an empty check-out and saved almost £10 on 241's, YS's etc which made the trip worthwhile
4. Made a tasty mini roast for dinner with YS pork steaks, YS parsnips and a YS cauliflower. Added some roasties and a cheese sauce, it all disappeared in no time
5. Looked after DNeighbour's DD again this evening for an hour, she brought me a pain au chocolat which I've just had with a cuppa. Goodbye waistine...
Night night, sweet dreams

Hello everybody - thanks for posting your blessings. Everybody seems to have so much going on at the moment
.
This is a combination of yesterdays and todays:
1. Drying 3 loads of laundry outdoors yesterday.
2. Finding a bag of Jelly Babies that I'd stashed and forgotten about .
3. Minced Turkey, mixed bean and veg chilli yesterday evening with whoopsied Turkey Mince - very tasty.
4. Slept a bit better last night - though still couging loads.
5. Lovely clear morning today - one of my ladies said it was as if 'somebody had switched the light on!'.
6. Helping a new tenant to settle into his new home and finding time for a chat with him.
7. Discovering that 'work' may owe me some money. I've had computer and intercom equipment in my home for over 2 years without any electricity expenses being paid to me.
8. Whoopsied Pork and Apple sausages with onion mash and whoopsied greenbeans for tea tonight - meals always taste nicer when they cost less than they should.
9. Lovely chat with a scottish friend this evening. Really looking forward to meeting up with her again in May when we go back there for our holidays.
 nitey nite all - love Ollie xxx0 -
