1. A walk in the lovely sunshine
2. An amazing blue sky
3. Putting crisp, new cotton sheets on ds's bed
4. Knowing that we have managed to reduce our electricity use for two weeks on the trot
5. Sitting down with a cup of tea and a slice of cherry cake :T
Take care everyone xxx0 -
Hello everybody :hello: - thanks for sharing all your blessings - sometimes it's helps open your eyes to your own
.
1. Another quiet day in work (phew) with a cancelled meeting this afternoon that I was hoping I didn't HAVE to go to.
2. An invitation to assist a Housing Officer with a prospective tenant viewing - part of the job that I really like. Makes me feel like an Estate Agentlol!
3. Visit from DD and her three children for evening meal tonight. Roast chicken, stuffing, roasties, mashed pots, mashed carrots/swede/parsips, broccoli, yorkshires and gravy. Lots of chicken left over for a meal tomorrow.
4. Dgd2 toddling around my living room chasing the cat this evening. Poor thing - at least he's still a bit quicker than she is - FOR NOW!
5. Lovely slices of cake for afters - Lemon Drizzle Cake and Connaught Carrot Cake with Orange Drizzle. Katie (dgd2) could only have the carrot cake as it's made with sunflower oil instead of margarine - but all went down very well indeed. I haven't baked for many, many years so the grandkids are still getting used to home-made cakes and are very suitably impressed at the moment.
At least those hideous winds have died down for now - maybe get a bit more sleep tonight.
Nitey nite all and sleep tight  Ollie xxx0 -
