  • Hi All.
Bit all over the place at the mo so struggling but your posts always cheer me up - thank you.
    My 5 for the past few days have been;
    1) Looking forward to & finally getting to watch Desperate Housewives on the tv & then discovering after reading posts on here that I am not the only one this gives pleasure too.:j
    2) After talking with my sister who works I am reminded how lucky I am to be a stay at home mum & enjoys my ds early years.
    3) Buying glass bottles of sauces & transferring them to squeezy bottles then recycling glass bottles.
    4) Digging out & passing on my pregnancy magazines & books & seein the delight of the mum to be ( although was a little bittersweet as realise I wont ever need them back) :undecided
    5) Finally feelin that we have made a breakthru with my ds sleeping - He has been sleepin in his own room & own bed for nearly 2 weeks & making progress with each night so more ZZzzzs for us!

Best wishes to u all x

Hello to you all. How is your Dad now he is home Sunnygirl? Hope he is coming on ok.
He's doing much better thank you. He still misses some words but is improving every day. His movements coming back too and he's itching to get into the garden, wash the car, pressure wash the driveway & generally be busy :T I said to go for it but only one thing per day - he's always suffered from what my Mum calls 'round bottom syndrome' and can't sit still :D I don't have that problem when I do get to sit down that is ;)
  • It's been a very ordinary day here but:-

    1. I'm thankful that I have my health and strength to do the household chores, even if they are boring.

    2. I'm thankful that we have money to feed and clothe us, even if we do have to budget carefully.

    3. I'm thankful for my DD and DS and DGS and DGD all of whom I love to bits.

    4. I'm thankful that my DSL and my DS are in good jobs.

    5. I'm thankful too that my DH is in a job, even though he's due to retire soon. He has applied to stay on part time but that is still in the melting pot, but either way we can live.

I love all your posts and they do give encouragement and enthusiasm to get on with things. Saying that I had better 'get on with things' instead of sitting here all morning - the washing is begging to be pegged out!!! Speak later xx

  • Hi everyone
    My five for yesterday
    1. at the river mouth with OH, haven't caught anything, but its so peaceful just watching the waves, birds, sun etc.

    2. Making a batch of apple and blackberry juice with the last of the blackberries

    3. Tai Chi class, now up to 24 movements.

    4. Weeding in the vegetable garden, it is a mess at the moment and its great to see a nice clear patch, even if it is only a fraction of the whole.

    5. Picking apples from one of the apple trees and eating them for lunch, they taste so fresh straight from the tree.

    Blessings be
    Jennie

Evening everyone - hope all is well, especially with Sparrer, so unlike her not to post.
    1. Sleeping for 8 hours- most unusual for me, but very welcome.
    2. DS ringing for a chat whilst on his way to work (using hands free I hasten to add),gave us chance to catch up a bit as never time whilst lambing on.
    3. Lovely sunshine whilst checking sheep and lambs.
    4. Friends 12 yr old son being so pleased to see me he gave me a hug and kiss!
    5. Delicious chilli from slow cooker when I got home tonight.

    1. DD telling me that our house is 'a very nurturing environment' - she's doing child care at college & says that she's realising how good her home life has been over the years :rotfl:
God bless you Sunny girl, that made me cry, how lovely. Hope my daughters feel same when they are older.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Hi chaps! Sending you a (hug) Scousewife.

Here are my blessings for today

    1) Trying a new recipe and it worked, with some left for tomorrow (Good Woman's Eggs, it's like Tortilla).
    2) Paying less than I expected for the shopping.
    3) Getting everything done on my list for today
    4) Adding up the receipts for so far this month and finding, despite everything, that we've been fairly frugal
  • My 5 OS pleasures for today:

    1. Saving over £10 in monthly shop using vouchers, and BOGOFs.
    2. Actually getting a good night sleep last night
    3. Getting a good swim/aquafit class tonight.
    4. Getting one of my wing mirrors on my car fixed
    5. Getting a box of stuff from the fiance's into storage - gradually getting sorted for the house sorting/selling/buying
    6. Having trout that i caught myself last summer for tea
    7. Making a big pot of soup.

    Busy but satisfying day!
