    Where has another week gone?
    1. Managing to get my onion sets planted out and getting my veggie patch rows
marked out with string ready for sowing when it warms up.
    2. Coffee and biscuits out in the garden - first time this year.
    3. Noticing that several clumps of my miniature daffodils are about to burst open.
    4. 10 nice little over-wintered endive seedlings planted out under cloches.
    5. Lazy afternoon curled up with my library book.

I looked in last night but felt too poorly to post - dodgy tummy which felt much better by this morning though.

I want Sparrer back! I miss her and our late night postings. Has anyone any news yet? ((((((Sparrer))))))

My bunch of pleasures for yesterday and today:

    1. Watching my 4 year old neice feed the ducks yesterday.

    2. Helping her mum with her decluttering by delivering a large piece of furniture back to the people she'd borrowed it from. Both households were delighted.

    3. Getting on well with some creative work plans.

    4. Eating a cheap supper out at our local wholefood cafe at teatime this evening. They'd more or less run out of main meal food so were charging us less than they should to eat up the part portions! We haven't eaten out in months and this turned out to be unexpectedly good value.

    5. Drying loads of washing outside in the sunshine.

    6. Getting the Kath Kidston catalogue in the post for free - nice to look at, but I got it just to chop it up for a 'making' project I'm working on.

    7. Getting some seed trays and compost at our local hardware shop so that we can get our seeds planted this weekend.

    8. Hearing my DS2 actually volunteer the wish to do lots of work on his spellings. :D

    9. Finishing up a pot of moisturiser. (This is a pleasure because, before Christmas, I decided to declutter the bathroom over time by using everything up, rather than forgetting I had things and ending up throwing them out because they had started to smell odd and ancient. :D )

    10. Discovering that we still have some cocoa left in the cupboard so, as soon as the children have gone to bed, I am putting on my jamas, wrapping myself up in something warm, getting out the knitting and finding something nice to watch on iplayer!

    Sweet dreams everyone.

Good evening everybody - great to read all your 'blessings' for the past couple of days.

sparrer - hope all is well with you - we're all missing you and your posts. Crossing fingers that it's just an internet problem!

    1. SC on this morning with Bacon Ribs and potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, leeks, swede, soup mix, mixed herbs and home-made chicken stock. The lovely aroma has driven us crazy all day :D.

    2. Quiet day in work today - just as well as I can feel a 'nasty throat' coming on me. Been on the throat lozenges all day and the whisky, honey and lemon as soon as 'finish time' came around :D.

    3. Home made Leek and Potato soup today for lunch and another big pan of it made for the freezer.

    4. Listening to Johnny Cash on 'My Music' while I'm messing about on the comp this evening.

    5. OH has sorted Tiggy-tiger's litter tray after only being asked once this evening :D - makes a change!

I'm heading off for an early night folks - another hot toddy and 2 paracetamol before I get into bed I think . Nitey nite  love Ollie xxx.

mineallmine - love that smiley too! I also love seeing my recycling being taken away - makes me feel all self-righteous ;) lol. Hate hearing all the horror stories/rumours about some local authorities who only claim to be recycling and then actually still dump what people think is being recycled. If that happened here, I think I'd save a whole week's stuff and go and dump it in somebody's office, or on their car bonnet.

No lie-in for me today - too much on my 'to do list' despite still having my 'sandpaper throat'. Hopefully will have a good list for later on. Have a good old OS/MoneySaving Day filled with blessings, everybody, and I look forward to reading all about them later.

    My five for yesterday were:

    1. Picking Dibley up from the Vets after being neutered and seeing him recognise me!
Poor little chap was feeling very sorry for himself but was soon purring away when
    I got him home.
    2. Meeting OH at Breast Clinic where he had had to have a mammogram due to large
lump having formed in his right breast. Worrying time till Dr said it is a blood clot
which will need surgery to remove but is nothing else worrying!
    3. Receiving text from Dad who is on holiday in Costa Rica and he ended the text with
lots of xxxx's, something he rarely does!
    4. Taking DS to Youth Group then picking him up and he had such a good time
    5. Snuggling down into bed with a good book before dropping off to sleep.

Oh, the simple things in life that give us so much pleasure ;)

    Today

    1. Cooking HM chicken casserole
    2. DD's friend coming to stay and she's a lovely girl so will be good to see her again
    3. Taking friend to the Abbey to light a candle for her Mum who died nearly 2 years
ago and it would have been her birthday today.
    4. Doing a bit of housework in readiness for new job on Monday
    5. Spending evening with OH who I don't see much in the week

Have just worked out how generous you have been with stamps, mam - that was so unnecessary, but so kind and much appreciated.
