Thanks Sunny.I find it real tough. We are not real lovely dovey and at time I am not even sure if he likes me even after 4 or 5 years or so as things are never said but it would be easier if I heard from him which I dont really as he is so overworked all he does is work, eat and sleep.Life has been hard for me and without friends even harder to cope with.Nothing to take my mind off etc.But the packet was an idea at least. Thanks for the hugs.

Hi all
What a great day I had! I am so grateful for everything!
1 - Breakfast in bed (toast and HM marmalade, tea) courtesy of DH
2 - Walked with DD to Farmers market and got some lovely veg and a delicious loaf of organic crusty bread for lunch
3 - Lunch: HM baked beans (the best batch so far!) with veggie sausages and the farmers marked bread, buttered, with tea. All sitting at the table, family and two friends, how lovely!
4 - DD's boyfriend, DS's friend and DH nearly finished the front garden, nearly ready for planting veg, and it is looking great!
5 - Baked a cake, about to go downstairs for a cup of tea and a slice! STOP PRESS: DD's BF (wonderful boy!) just offered to bring me both upstairs while I am here on the computer! I am in HEAVEN!
6 - Tonight planned dinner: cream of leftovers soup, will contain: leftover sauce from making baked beans, leftover lentils and mash from yesterday's veg. shepherds pie, leftover veg and chickpea curry from two days ago and an addition of a few carrots and leeks (freshly cooked) to stretch it for all of us (6 to the last count!). All blended and served with grated cheese croutons (made with leftover bread).
7 - The wonderful Nonnymice have agreed to help a person I know who is in need of help - THANK YOU to all Nonnymice who read this!
Have a great evening everybody! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Hello all. Since has been a lovely and hectic weekend I am posting a higgledy piggledy batch of blessing!
1. HM macaroons and cupcakes for Valentines tea yesterday.
2. Finding a lovely teaset in our local hospice shop for £2.50 - it really set off the table along with our 1/2 price pink bubbly and the pink roses OH brought me as he knows they are my favourite
3. Getting my sax out and playing for the first time since my dad died, nearly 4 years ago:eek: Music was always such a huge part of my life so it is good to get started again. Although I do now have my eye on a 2nd hand cello....
4. A trip to the farmer market for some lovely local veg and meat, all stocked up for the next week now.
5. A phone call from one of my best friends yesterday that started with "How long has it been since I told you you are fabulous!" I sent her card and she was very chuffed. We miss each other a lot now we don't live in the same town.
6. Spending some really lovely time with OH. It is almost our 2nd weding anniversary and im still feeling very honeymoonish!!
7. Watching a soppy chick flick that OH brought me when I got turned down for a job a couple of weeks ago (and sneakily eying Robert Downey Jr when he was still young and handsome)
8. Reading a great Ian McEwan book in bed this morning - thanks to our local library.
9. Getting invited to 2 interviews for jobs I really want.:j
Gosh I've gone on but that was a whole weekend worth! Off to make a beef and beetroot stew for tonight and do some pilates before i seize up in the cold!

Looking forward to Wednesday onwards as am off work with DH and kids for the rest off the week.0 -
