Have been playing truant from this thread because of other projects but today's:
1. Last clump of snow finally disappeared from the garden
2. Planning nice OS Valentine's Evening dinner at home tomorrow.
3. Sowing my pepper, chilli & aubergine seeds to germinate on lounge windowsill.
4. Slowly ploughing through "How We Lived Then" about how ordinary
people coped during WW2 - a fascinating read.
5. Keeping so busy I haven't realised where time has gone. (Not sure whether
this is a good thing or a bad one!)
6. Picking endive, baby spinch leaves and rocket from the garden for a salad,
all of which have miraculously survived the frost & snow without any protection.
6. Counting my blessings when every day I read of fires in Australia and
increasing redundancies and anxieties here at home.0 -
1) Getting all my work up to date before I finished for half-term
2) Having a siesta. I have been a bit frazzled this week so I needed a snooze
3) Fnishing off my meal plan for next week
4) Making BBQ beef in my SC for tomorrow nights dinner

Hugs to your Reverbe, hope you are still finding blessings in your day.
My 5 are:
1. Hearing from an old school friend - got a really lovely message from her and it was so nice to catch up.
2. Snuggling down with HM 'takeway' curry and a G&T
3. The beautiful pink sunset here as i made my way home.
4. Discovering the readit swapit corner at work - meant that I wasn;t bored on my train journey home and I even got a seat for once!

Hi everyone, have been very busy with lambing, so here are a few of my blessings for last couple of days.
1. A very successful baking session!
2. Making a delicious apple and blackberry crumble - so pleased to still be using last autumns blackberries from freezer.
3. Watching 3 of DS sheep give birth to their lambs - without any assistance needed(phew!) - 3 beautiful sets of twins.
4. Another of sheep having QUADS! Quite unusual and pleased to say all are fit and healthy.
5. Looking forward to a weekend away on my own at a girlfriends. I forsee lots of laughing and chatting!
Have a lovely weekend everyone.0 -
1. Being glad that although OH is away for 2 weeks (in Iran for work), he loves me and it'll be all the sweeter when he finally gets home
2. A lovely sunny day - and it was nearly light already when I left the house this morning! :j
3. Homemade veg soup for lunch - and put another 3 portions in the freezer. The veg was all on its last legs, so was basically free soup as I would have thrown it away otherwise.
4. Arranging to meet a friend for a cuppa on Sunday.
5. Planning a trip to the butcher tomorrow, then going to cook loads of lasagne, bolognaise etc for the freezer.

hugs and warm wishes to everyone for a peaceful weekend
Friday blessings...
1. Hearing that ex OH has got a cancellation so the hip replacement he's been waiting for will go ahead much sooner at a private hospital. Thanks NHS!
2. Have DGD2 here for the weekend, and neighbours DD in for the evening...they've eaten me out of house, home and raspberry ripple ice-cream
3. Chinese take-away for dinner, not OS/MS at all but a meal for 2 did three of us and some left over for tomorrow. Just need to add a hm stir-fry and a little shredded chicken and we have another meal
4. DS has a new work area from Monday but close enough that he can still stay with me. Making the most of this time as he's getting married in October and moving north. I'll miss him as it's been lovely having him home these past few months but happy he's found someone he wants to settle down with
5. Reached payout on a survey site and am expecting £50 in my bank in the next couple of days :j0 -
Well, chaps, I was reading this in the living room and everyone in the family has decided to contribute the things that have made them happy today
Finishing work in class and not having to take it home
Coming home from school this afternoon
Not having to worry about doing homework for a bit
Finding stuff to burn on the stove
Finding that the back garden is still covered in untouched snow
Being invited to a party
Getting a huge piece of silk to play with/complete art project with
Playing the guitar in the evening
Going for a walk with a colleague at lunchtime
Seeing a friend's baby - huge pink cheeks
Going to the allotment for the first time in ages and digging up some swedes and leeks in the sunshine
Friends round for supper
Having a family chat0
