Saturday blessings...
4. Visited friends this evening then went into Tesco (didn't need anything, I just went because it was there!). Picked up a dozen chicken and vegetable stock cubes for 10p a pack
I notice that I bought same in ours just before Xmas at a cost of 8p each,. I went back just after xmas and now the veg ones are 10p and chicken 19p!!! If yours is selling chicken for 10p what branch is it cos I might bring this price inconsistency up with Mr T.What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -
Yesterday
1. Fulham V Kettering - a great shock win (we played dreadful) and just what the FA Cup is all about - terracing, a front row view behind the goal and a real thriller of a match.
2. 2 free eco lightbulbs with the paper
3. Taster of Dandelion & Burdock (X2 cos my mate Ted didnt like his) and a free bottle of Fentimans Ginger beer to take home from a landlord we know.
4. A few drinks before the coach trip to the game with friends
5. The colossal amount of post waiting for my flatmate and I when we got back - mine included a craft bag I ordered for my knitting on Ebay, a free lipgloss and a book someone had sent me
6. seeing myself in my big blue coat on the ITV coverage of the FA Cup when we scored one of our goals. What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -

Our weekend blessings
1) Having our 'date' yesterday - OH and I go for coffee alone once a week and we really look forward to it
2) Squashing the whole family on one sofa to watch a film last night
3) Being OS about saving leftovers and having enough for everyone to have a different lunch today
4) Knowing we have hm baked beans and sausages in the slow-cooker for the first time in ages.
5) Looking forward to haggis tonight
By the way, Primrose, sneaking a bit more of the lawn for veggies is exactly what I would have done!0 -
How organised am I today - coming on for a second time to post todays pleasures :
1. Enjoying a lovely walk with DH in the morning sunshine - cold and windy too, but seeing primroses, snowdrops and a daffodil in bud made it worthwhile.
2. Making 2 pans of soup for the next few days lunches.
3. Finally finding my old recipe for All Bran tea loaf and making one.
4. Chatting to a friend on the phone.
5. Finishing a craft project and the scarf that proved to be more of a challenge than anticipated!0 -
Let's see, my five are:
1. Enjoying homemade lentil and carrot soup with a homemade wholemeal roll - delish.
2. Making a batch of hummus for tomorrow's lunch.
3. Making spicy beanburgers for the first time, and very easy and tasty they are too.
4. Getting bag of yellow stickered apples in Morrisons for 25p. Don't know about anyone else, but I find Morrisons the best for decent price reductions on YS items.
5. Going to the gym, so feeling virtuous and actually making use of my membership!Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
