    I've been Money Tipped!
    Big (((hugs))) to raggydoll

    today we:-

Paid another 10% off the mortgage (we are on a fixed rate which is quite high and the interest rate on savings is now so low that it was pointless having it in savings so we had to be brave and pay it down)

Had a sickly thorntons mocha to celebrate and realised we are no longer used to such rich treats and felt a tad sick afterwards!:o :rotfl:

Went to the library and got some great books out

Came home to some homemade leek and potato soup in the slowcooker

Sorted the washing on the airers and settled down to read library books
Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Reverbe I always turn the volume up when the babies come on and giggle..oh, the innocence! Will keep everything x'd for your interview :)

I know they ARE totally infectious. I am so glad that ad is showing a lot these days. The one at the end always reminds of of Sid James - he has a very filthy laugh :rotfl: .

Thanks to both you and Caterina for your good wishes. It was only for an agency and I had a lot of trouble going all the way into town for it - took m,e hours and had to walk a long ways cos of tube "issues" . She seems a nice lady but I am not very hopeful as agencies tend to get you in , keep you ages, make you do all kinds of tests and then never bother sending you for anything.Still least I got a trip out, free cuppa tea and a handful of pens and 2 loo rolls i "sampled" once I realised that the whole thing was prob a colossal waste of time and money (tube fares are very dear if you go all the way into town). You never know tho something might come from it...

  • Raggydoll, you are so brave. Your positive outlook will help you through. ((((((hugs))))))

    My pleasures today:-

    1. My back problem is not quite so bad today, at least I've been able to sit tonight, one can't get much done while lying on the floor. Not very OS

    2. Lots of lovely Friday baking done.

    3. Trading in the vaccing with DH for the digging which hurt my back yesterday. My digging is done, his vaccing is not - YET.

    4. Watching Victorian Farm on Iplayer - I love it, it's one of those programmes which almost makes me wish we had a telly.

    5. Reading this thread and seeing the encouragement given to those who are down.

I will also add my encouragement to all and at the risk of missing someone out I mention sunflower and of course Raggydoll.

:grouphug: to Raggydoll - so, so, sorry to hear your news.

    1) helping my daughter to do her homework (she's only in year 1) and she came up with the word freedom for her ee words.
    2) we had catering at work today for a course - so got the left overs for my lunch so didn't have to buy any.
    3) sat in a cafe at lunch time and laughed and laughed at my very funny daft boyfriend - who also bought the coffees - so that was free too - lol.
    4) marked a test paper today with one of my learners and he has gone from 25/40 (fail) to 36/40 (pass) which is brilliant - as his test is booked for Monday, so he should pass with flying colours.
    5) hopped on the scales today and I'm maintaining my 9 1/2 stone only 11 months after having my son and being a massive 15 1/2 stone at the end of the pregnancy.

    EM xx

    Hi again quickly

How could I have forgotten the best pleasure of all, today and always:

I AM STILL ALIVE! Today I nearly died, due to a friend's distracted driving. If the man in the other car had not swerved quite dramatically at the last minute I would have been crushed to death in the crash. Thank you GOD and my Guardian Angels, it is good to be still here!

    Good night all!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).

    OMG Caterina are you ok?

My flatmate even cried with I told him about Raggy. We feel humbled by her and send her all our love.
