A proven Racially motivated offence could mean prison , even on first offence . Justice system is very poor at dishing out punishments that fits the crime , but with Racially Motivated crime it does a pretty good job .....on the other side a Rapist in Suffolk who got into a womans house and raped her in her bed got 5 years yesterday !

Without knowing her criminal history, or the full story (I can't remember it all and there is so much rubbish in this thread it's hard to find the facts), I'd say she will get away with a light sentence due to her age and potential vulnerability (family seem to have disowned her). Time will tell.

Her age should have no bearing on the conviction. She's committing a crime, and one that is clearly racially motivated.

    That is your view.

Whilst that most probably refers more to young people, older people usually have more health issues, making it difficult to expect them to adjust to and cope with a prison sentence. For a first time offender (if indeed this lady is), I expect she will be handed a community service order and a fine.

Because it's not her street. It's everyone's street and he has the right to park there so long as he pays his taxes, which he does.

Even non-tax payers have a right to park their car on a public road without restrictions!

I had a nasty confrontation with a stupid old man once because he didn't like the fact I'd parked on 'his' street. Followed by a threat of deflated tyres should I leave it there.

I just left, and went somewhere else as it wasn't worth the agro. But I still think about occasionally whenever I pass that area of town. Imagine possible revenge plots.

I can understand why the police wouldn't her to go jail though "Police arrested sweet innocent old lady" is a far worse headline than "Police catch horrible 18 year old hoodlum".

    It's all about the headlines.

Not if the tax that they haven't paid is vehicle tax (unless of course their vehicle is exempt).

I don't know about the Daily Mail you're so obviously fond of, but when someone gets sent to jail, the headline isn't going to be 'Police arrested so and so' is it?

I've reported your post by the way. Not only for the sweary abuse, but for just how hopeless your general contributions are.
Terrific, you've done nothing but insult me, then you report my post! Freedom of speech for those who agree with you.

You've made 39 posts since joining the forum (at the point of writing) and I'm pretty sure the majority of those posts are just pointless arguing with other people about absolute rubbish.

You make points about peoples lives where you have no basis to make them and then make a comment about someone elses contributions?

Erm, you are aware that hopeless contributions are not an abuse that warrants deletion. Else this very quote of yours would be down the pan as quick as you could press Refresh.

The team are far too busy dealing with genuine spam and abuse than have the added burden of sifting through what posts may or may not have a useless contribution. Abuse of the Abuse button will only backfire. ;)
