I had another expensive food shop yesterday, £32.41 spent, taking me to £98.32 for the month. I have a target of £135.00, so £36.68 to spend over two more weekly food shops. I do have a £5 voucher to use, but I'll probably be a little over target this month.Debt tracker ~ June 2015: £9,577.83 ~ January 2016: £7,913.22 ~ 17.38% debt paid!

Had a spend of £23 on Saturday but this was for a bulk buy of rump steak so will save money over the next few months. Total now stands at £89.12/£250 so still fairly low this month and less than half the month left to go:j.
Also had 2 NSDs - Friday and Sunday so now half way of number of target days @ 10/20; will be tight to reach my target.

Quite a few NSD last week, weds and thurs I was away for work and had all my meals paid for and then Sunday we went hospital visiting and had another nsd as the shops were all shut by the time we got DH managed to go to T*sco and not spend a fortune. Hes away at the end of the week so Im hoping to just feed me and the two DS from the freezer and cupboards for the time he is away. Not sure where we are on budget as I havent balanced my books as DH keeps hogging the laptop.Grocery Challenge Feb 16 £346 /4000

Reporting an epic fail this month - over budget by nearly £40 and that's without the BBQ Smokehouse meal, DH splashed out on yesterday. Facing a 4-figure vet's bill this afternoon, so feeling defeated and annoyed at being unable to stick to an entirely reasonable budget.
Currently standing at £377.19/£340with a full 12 days to go, half term with stepkids to feed all week and a Hallowe'en party.

Dizzy it happens to the best of us. Sometimes we just have months like that. Chin up.
I've been away, so had a good few NSDs but been to shops today. Can't find my receipt but it was close to £20 so I'll add £20 to sig.
Have a good week everyone!

Good evening/morning all,
I hope the week has started well for everyone. Monday was a NSD for me, which was just as well, since I busted my budget on Sunday (while shopping for a new microwave) with two small shops:£6.27 in Tosco and £6.30 in M&s.
I got lots of Ys for that, including milk, loads of veg and enough really nice bread to last me for a week or two.
I am now a few pounds over my budget, but I am still fairly pleased. I have spent over £30 this month on cleaning stuff which I was planning to have a separate budget for. I think from now on I might just lump these expenses together in future.
In any event, I won't need any more shopping this month, except perhaps some milk at the weekend, so I should only be a little bit over.2025 goals

Total for this month is currently £329.23 however, as I've been forward planning for when the weather may be not so good, this does include a lot storeable stuff. Next month likely to be similar but then will be winter prepped so hopefully should work itself out.
Will need to defrost and sort freezers so can get whatever meat & frozen veg needed. I do want to get some batch cooking done so can stock up on 'ready' meals.0
