As I am very (VERY!) quick to post whinges on here, thought I'd post a nice thing too.... just had an email from my boss saying thank you for some work I did last week, and that I'd done a good job
Always nice to hear! Especially as I still spend most of my time here feeling very out of my depth.

That's great Tea. I think it's quite common for people to be far quicker to moan than give praise so for your boss to make the effort shows how much they must've appreciated it.0

Good afternoon all!
At least Escapette has a sense of humour, Welly?
I hope you finally got to sleep, Sue. The nerve damage sounds awful.
Go you, tea! Well done, brownie points with the boss!
Thank you, Melly! I shall avoid any links pointing me that way.
According the the letting agent Izadora, the problem is finding where the leak is in the very long pipe. It only happens when water is run upstairs and then not immediately, it's as if it builds up first? Last time the plumber didn't stay around long enough for that to happen so kind of guessed where the problem was and clearly got it wrong.
You are making me jealous, ono. I want eggs now just like I wanted to try ice cream yesterday!
I have spent the last hour hanging out of the bedroom window. I reach a point when I have been indoors for months that I feel like I am choking on lack of fresh air. I feel a bit better now! My medication review is due next month and I shall ask for a Vitamin D test. My GP is lovely and lets me have any blood tests straight after I see him so that I don't need to go back, this would be the ideal time. The downside of this is that I glared at by others waiting for the nurse because I appear with my doctor and get escorted straight in before people with appointments, I usually mumble sorry continuously as I walk past them. I always get a hysterical urge to yell Mentally ill! Really sorry! I'm nuts! But at the same time both my doctor and I know that if he told me to come back later that I wouldn't go out twice. Hence I put off blood tests...Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

WaS - I know it is highly inappropriate for me to find that funny but the thought of you running through the waiting room shouting 'mentally ill' is really making me laugh!!
Having a nightmare afternoon so thank you for the comic relief
Good job I did get some brownie points last week as it's all going wrong today. Put a business case together for something a few months ago and it's finally going before the board tomorrow. Have just (as in in the last hour, despite chasing since December) found out that one person I'd been relying on has basically made up their figures and has no idea what they're talking about.
Thank goodness I have a night in this evening - need chocolate, P cat, pjs and to scream into a pillow for a few hours.0 -
Hahahaha! It's ok, it makes me laugh too, tea. I get the the urge to do it everytime, "Sorry everyone! Don't hate me! Mentally ill! Nutter has to go first!" :rotfl:
Ugh, not your fault tea! You can't be blamed for the other person being a useless wotsit! Is it salvageable? Yay for a night in!Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

I am so tempted to urge you to go ahead, as long as WaSP is videoing the results. Purely to see the expression on people's faces when you do so.
(Years of working with people with LD and autism has made me completely immune to embarrassment in certain situations and I just crack up laughing.)
I have had a positive day which has reminded me of the things I love about my current job. Tomorrow is take Gitdog to work day (office based only!) after which I may no longe have a job.:rotfl:All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Hahahaha! It is important to remember that I am also being escorted by my GP with a blanket over my head at the time to complete the picture! I do get glared at though and I totally understand it. My practice is always running late as it is, and then I go waltzing past everyone in the queue and get seen immediately, I can feel the daggers!
