Teas concern came from a good place and as it isn't something that is said whenever a new person joins I personally have taken it as protective (so good thing)

Noise has been unbearable since 6.30am.

Finally managed to get the picture removed from Facebook. According to them as I wasn't the main person and not shown facially then there isn't a problem!!

Re budgeting, I can remember having a note book and writing down my pocket money and how I used it. I had to teach my husband the value of saving and he is grateful now as he sees the benefit

Tea I saw the post from the new person and agree it seems unusual.
Sorry to hear that the noise is so bad Melly.

Hi guys, the complaint email I forwarded to my MP, did something as the hospital rang with a date to see my surgeon on 7th march, I wasn't expecting that. However, the hospital was on the news again yesterday as being on a permanent "Black Alert". meaning it now never functions safely for planned surgeries/A and E etc. It seems to be in the news now at last once a month. A Dr commented that patients are now not buying the myriad of excuses they are fed as to why they are being put at risk. I have a whole page of excuses my MP forwarded to me that they have used regarding the many times they have put my life at risk in the last 5 years, so I know that if I do need surgery again, they'll keep cancelling me.. I still want to go to the national press, not just local news, but I'll wait until I 've seen the surgeon. I'm so enraged, I'm trying to hold of the impulse to contact them today, but I think it's more sensible to wait It's so hard to relax and deadrenalise myself, PTSD brain says, 24/7: " Danger ahead., fight for your life".. I hate PTSD brain :(
Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE :)

Fly, you can always ask about different types of therapies here, I am sure between us all we have experienced a lot. My descriptions won't entirely sum up others experiences because therapists are all human and all do things in slightly different ways because of that. There is a general consensus that therapists trained under a certain school approach things the same way but there are always subtle differences.

For example, I cheated my clients out of 10 minutes therapy a week! I planned my sessions in the same way my own psychoanalytic psychotherapy was run, 50 minutes of therapy and 10 minutes to think. I'd leave a client to sit alone for 10 minutes in the room after we finished talking, just to think things through and put away the often painful things we talked about. This is because it is often very hard for people to let go of their session and go back to their everyday lives, it is easy to carry all the painful thoughts with you to influence the rest of the day where one might not get any time alone at all. I gave my clients 10 minutes in a quiet space to tuck it all away again rather than them just telling me an important revelation and me saying times up! and shoving them back out into the world. Personally, I felt the 10 minutes to think alone and adjust one's mind back to thinking of what was for dinner that evening were as important as the actual talking part of the session.

I also told my clients when it was 10 minutes before the time we would stop talking because again, in my opinion it can be very jarring to suddenly stop someone say, in the middle of memory recall and just cut them off and expect them to return to work or whatever. Some therapists work right up to the hour and do not give a warning, I chose not to. There are always differences and none are right or wrong. You just have to find the technique that suits you and it often takes a bit of 'therapy shopping' first.
