I keep getting emails for contractor roles and the day rate is so high! Obviously I have no idea what you'd actually get, compared to what they appear to be offering, but there certainly seems to be a bit out there.

Have everything crossed you hear from the agency today. All the waiting around is horrible.

Right - get in the shower you!!

The day rates are real tea 250-300 seems to be the average.
Your take home on that would be almost 1000 a week on the 300
Plus point to contract you can walk away.

I think I'm in the wrong job!
Hope things start going better for you soon.
I am working from home again today - can't really traipse round old people's homes and hospital wards full of germs. Gitdog is getting more vocal when he gets bored now he's getting used to me being there,

Shower. Might make you feel better if you can manage it without focusing too much on how you look, And then it's out of the way and with any luck the day will get better.

Are you in the shower yet?

I am attempting to dye a pair of DH's trousers. Nothing exciting, but they have been hanging around the house for days.

I also have to get some stuff in the post today before I go to work.

Littlewing has broken up for half term so her and DH are still snoozing.

I am attempting to tidy up.

Well done WW & LW! A great achievement!

WaS - hope you're OK, thinking of you.

Melly - I cannot believe that you had men standing around your front door being intimidating and talking about rape and the police do nothing!!! You really need to move, no-one should have to live like that.

It's dress down day today and I had to do the paranoid lurk in the car until I saw someone else turn up in jeans before I could be satisfied that I'm not dressed down on the wrong day and everyone will be laughing at me! :o

Also feeling grumpy about the fact that I paid £5.Flipping.95 for next day delivery for a skirt on Wednesday so I'd have it delivered yesterday and there's still no sign of it!

Re: contracting. I wish I had the guts to do it as the pay is so good but I hate job searching and interviewing... I've been with my company for 12 years and moved jobs within it 3 times, so had to do the whole process thrice and hated it, and it wasn't even as bad as interviewing externally! :o That said, the contractors here earn SO MUCH! Some are on around £500 a day and they've been here years. I keep thinking I need to get some techy qualifications so I can join them but then I decide... meh, I'm too lazy! :rotfl:
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!
