Stopping in bed is a good thing sometimes, melly. We all need to recuperate at times. Hence my 11 am weekend lie in - I was just surprised Gitdog co-operated.
Pyxis is now making me want to go on holiday again - problem is the motivation to spend hours narrowing down the options on tinternet. It was so much easier when there was a choice of only a few places in a brochure.
Tonight I am doing a homecheck for someone who wants a bull terrier - the last one I did had a pristine house and was somewhat unrealistically expecting it to stay that way.

WaS, if you're lurking, feel free to unlurk, you know you can say whatever you like on here and it'll be fine.

    Lost my bank card.

Suggestions of places to look before I cry?

I know that moving around as much as possible is recommended although I'm old enough to remember when the advice was to rest! It is still.painful but I am using a wheat bag and tiger balm along with my painkillers. Ironically with so many painkillers I slept a bit better last night but feel somewhat groggy today.

Elsien I know what you mean. When I was first checked for my cat the woman who came said that she once went to a house which was pristine with white sofas and rugs, they wanted a white cat to fit in!

Welly hope you find the bank card soon.

Ono hope all goes well with the op.

Pyxis the photo is lovely. My husband is a lover of loose tea and would be in heaven there. You are right that someone can know you are there even towards the very end.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

  • Pyxis - looks great, sounds like you're having a fab time. I did some work in Kenya and visited a tea plantation and factory in the highlands - best cup of tea I've had, seeing it pulled straight off the line :) Interesting that it was made with half hot water and half hot milk. I was given some to take home and was much loved by all, especially when I made it the 'local' way!

Today is a bit better - I've been with clients all day and on an hours rest before taking them out to dinner. Luckily only 13 of them as nine have other arrangements but even so, it's mentally draining. Another long day tomorrow but then it's almost the weekend and will try to get a lay in.

Up at 5:15 this morning to get to work early to prepare for today. Dogs were whining while I was prepping breakfast for them and I just started shouting at them, asking them who the hell they thought I was and couldn't they just give me a break and stop being so damn needy. They were a bit shocked and I felt awful about it, ended up apologising and giving cuddles, so MrCW has been told to be nice to them this evening. With everything going on in the house I feel bad for them not having as much attention as they could have :(

Managed to lose my phone this morning on the trek from the kitchen to the car. Couldn't find it, was on silent so couldn't hear it ringing and only has 10% battery so not sure where that will be. Hope I haven't thrown it in bin or anything....

Going to have steak and salad for dinner I think. Protein and veggies - going to a nice restaurant, good food but not too stuffy and the guys are all really good I'm with (me Vs 13 men!). Wish I had decided to stay over as would have had a glass of red wine to go with it, but hey ho!

Hi Welly Can you remember the last time you used it ? indoors or shop garage atm etc . If it was online or not .
I have only done this once with my debit card and panicked and rang the bank to cancel . An hour later I remembered I had paid some thing over the phone and put the bill I was paying on top of my card .
    Good luck

Welly I forgot to say if you have online or phone banking you can check your last transaction .

Welly, try: coat pockets. That handbag pocket that you absolutely 100% never use for bank cards. In the middle of the pile of paper receipts you've taken out of your purse. On whatever table/next to the phone you used to make an online purchase with said card.
Those are my usual places. The receipts are the usual culprits.

Welly, try under and down the back of the sofa. Things tend to gather there.

Pyxis - great photo. Looks like you're having a smashing time.

Elsien - do people with dogs have clean houses? There is mud everywhere in mine, no matter how hard I try to stay on top of it. I mopped the kitchen floor yesterday and DA dog gave me a hurt look.

Ugh Torry, I've hurt my back too. Doing that really awkward back pain squat bend thingy.

Ono - hope it all goes well with the op although sorry you have to do it. Hope the biopsy is clear.

Tea - hope police baby gets back to you soon.

Melly - a lie in is always good.

    Waves for everyone else.

My grandad lied about his age and signed up to fight in WWI. Not sure what he saw or what he did, but he never spoke of it. By WWII both my grandads were in reserved occupations so didn't need to go to war.

Feeling a bit delicate and overwhelmed today. Started when i woke up through the night in pain and started thinking that this is my life now as this thing is clearly not going into remission any time soon. Work is frustrating, still annoyed at the window guy, have wee'd every 10 minutes all day long and I'm tired. Death penguin My mum told me that the doctor expects my aunt to die this week, which is good in a way a as she's suffering but also horrible. end penguin. I'd quite like to flop on the floor and have a toddler style tantrum. To cheer myself up I am considering making pancakes for dinner.

Thanks for the suggestions! After ringing tesco and getting them to check everywhere for me, I found it exactly where Elsien and Polly said it would be, under a pile of bills. Didn't inspire me to pay them mind!

Code, as a fellow dog owner you should know it is never a wise idea to look under sofa cushions, or move the sofa in any way at all!

Escapette has been fighting sleep again today. She's been lay in her cot laughing her socks off and blowing raspberries and refusing to sleep. I can see it's going to be another rough night! Bearded One finally paid in to the swear jar, after a particularly turbulent episode of trying to rock and shush her to sleep!
