I was in the cadets at school for a short while but turned out to be allergic to people telling me what to do.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Grumpy now. Got a guy in to quote for new windows from the company who did my mum's windows and he was really rude. I mean, if you're trying to make me spend £7k then at least be nice to me and don't come into my house and moan that it's late and you're tired. Not my problem dude.
Did manage to fix the work problem but it took all day, and when we're on a deadline and had multiple system failures and something that should be simple goes horribly wrong because, reasons and you have multiple people moaning at you that x, y and z aren't done, its really stressful.
Georgie, I thought about joining the military as an IT geek but I'm a big fraidy wimp so thought better of it.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Grr, just got home and was expecting to have missed a call from police but not a word. No reply to the emails sent last week, or the last couple of reports. Have no idea why this went from 'really serious, off to make arrest' to 'we won't bother getting back to you for two weeks'.:huh:0

Your going to need to chase them tea.
My thoughts on the police force that cover out area are not printable0 -
Sounds like you've had a stressful day code
Glad you managed to fix the problem though. You'd think sales people would be nothing but polite if they're wanting to get a sale. You usually can't get rid of them.
Elsien I think I'd be the same! :rotfl: Me too probably code!
What on earth are the police playing at tea? Like you say, what on earth happened to 'we're going to arrest him'?0 -

Uncle is a rear admiral *snigger*
I couldn't do it. Went to a family day with the uncle and as.i am a council estate kid just was not comfy (wrong forks, I don't cut properly apparently and they spoke to normal crew like !!!!!)0 -
My Granda was in the army, my Dad was in the army, my uncle was in the Navy and the other uncle was in the RAF.
I think I'd have enjoyed the physical side of it, but would have hated being told what to do and I'd have been no good at the ironing! I'm blooming useless at ironing and I'd keep on getting into trouble for not having my uniform done correctly! :rotfl:0 -
My dad and uncle were both RAF. Come to think of it, maybe my dad's only been pretending to be useless at ironing all these years!0

He probably is just pretending tea, he should be an expert at it!
I woman I used to work with, her husband was in the army, and wouldn't let her do any ironing at all. He insisted on doing it all. When I heard that, I seriously considered getting D to sign up!0 -
Grandad was conscripted to the army for WWII. Dad was conscripted to the RAF just before they abolished conscription. So no voluntary military history in my family.
I don't take orders, so they'd either have to throw me out or throw me in prison. :rotfl:Proud member of the wokerati, though I don't eat tofu.Home is where my books are.Solar PV 5.2kWp system, SE facing, >1% shading, installed March 2019.Mortgage free July 20230
