I very much want to play in the plate-smashing corner!0 -
Plate smashing. Me please. I went to a Greek night once purely so I could smash plates and when I got there they quoted elf 'n safety and the waiters did it instead. Wasn't impressed.
WaS, MSE has some great bits and some less good bits when people start to get a bit silly with each other. If you can leave the less good bits for now, that might help. Stick to lolcats etc.
Fingers crossed for you for the interview results, melly. Is this one that might involve a move? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

I also feel guilty because I am so grateful that it's my aunt lying there and not my mum and I know that's not a nice thing to think and it still could be my mum or dad at some stage or one of my siblings and what if I'm still no use then? Massive hugs for what you went through.
.
Thanks code x x
You think you'd be no use, but you would be. Something just kicks in, and you would do anything for them. You find a strength from somewhere to help to get you through it. I did many things that I never thought I'd be able to do.
Having said that, I think the reason I mainly feel so bad is that I'm good at taking instructions, helping out and being practical when asked, but that last day or so when he could no longer communicate properly, it's like I just gave up, I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what he was wanting and I didn't know how to help him. I think part of that reason was I was just so overwhelmed and tired and my Mam wasn't exactly helping matters, but that's another story.0 -
WaS, you will be fine x x Plate smashing sounds awesome!
count me in!
Fingers crossed for you Melly
Sending healing back vibes Torry. I don't know if you can use any creams or anything, but I highly recommend Voltarol, amazing stuff!0 -

Went to the doctors' and have got norethisterone tablets to dry up the bleeding. So we'll see what happens.
I can't remember anything else I was going to say...melly, glad the interview seemed to go well.
tea, hope you get to have a good chat with police baby and feel more sure of whatever way ahead you choose.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
Good luck Melly!
I read that as 'twerked' Torry!!
Code could you just look the other way and deny all knowledge? Blame it on gremlins!0 -
Just been getting stroppy.
I bought Escapette a plug in calpol diffuser thing as she has got a cold. I couldn't get it to work as the light would only come on when I stood looking at it. Each time I walked away it would turn off.
Was getting rather irate with it, until Bearded One presents me with the box that explains it is 'dark activated' so the nightlight only comes on when it's dark...
When I was stood looking at it, with the lights on, I blocked the light enough for it to turn on, when I moved it would turn off as it was too bright!
I feel a fool. I seriously was starting to wonder how it knew when I was looking at it!0 -
Kind of thing I would do Welly! :rotfl: Easily done
Am watching that programme about new recruits to the Royal Navy. When I left school, I was seriously contemplating going into either the Army or the Navy as a lot of my family were in the military. I went to college instead, but always wonder "what if?"0
