ono - totally with you on valentines day. I've never done anything for it (except one year in primary school, I seem to remember :D). Seems like a massive excuse not to make any effort for the rest of the year to me.

V wet and windy here too. It's raining through the window next to my desk and the heating isn't working. Am so glad I came in today!

Definitely a case of can't see the wood for the trees. I was really settled on what I wanted to do and how to approach things a few weeks ago - was never exactly happy about the prospect of going to court of course but was fine about it having to happen. Now I feel like it's all got out hand, like I should never have involved the police in the first place.

Knowing that I've turned my back on someone who's ill and asking for my help is not a great feeling.

ETA: hang in there melly x.

To get a restraining order it has to go to court. I can get a civil injunction (non-molestation order) but I have to pay for that and tbh I can think of things I'd rather spend £500 - £1500 on!

I can't explain it any better than "it doesn't feel right" - re. pressing charges. It seems like I'm punishing someone for being ill, and that just isn't sitting right with me.

Ah right, I didn't realise things had to go to court, to get one. Can't believe if you want a civil injunction then you have to pay that much for it!

I understand your reluctance to press charges, I really do. :) You say he's getting counselling? Hopefully soon, that will start to help him. If not, you may be left with no choice but to press charges, as that might be the only thing that might help him in the end (in a strange way), then again, it just seems the more the police are involved the more he contacts you etc. Very very difficult situation.

Best laid plans eh ono? Good forward planning on bringing the change of clothes!

Valentines Day is an overcomercialised over-rated day too. We don't bother anymore.

Definitely - they could easily have used the traffic chaos from last week as an excuse to narrow things down, so they obviously are interested. - sorry, response to melly.

Please remember that, even if it's because he's ill, you need FOH to stop what he is/was doing. He's not asking for your help, he's stalking you despite numerous requests to leave you alone.
I know it must feel horrible and as though you're letting him down but you've tried every other way you can to get him to listen and it didn't work. You're not at fault for pressing charges, he's at fault for behaving in a way that left you no other option.
