Unfortunately I am tied up with clients from first thing Monday to end of Wednesday, involving taking them for dinner, so a few long days ahead. But after that I'm going to look to go and stay with a friend for the weekend and have some quality time together.
Just feels a little weight has been lifted, although I'm scared to have heard the 'D' word in front of the OH as I don't want him running a mile. Although, in fairness, he did agree that we've been through a lot, but as he says, we do sometimes need to look behind us and see how far we have become....was scary to hear him tell the doctor we are doing this house up for a family home, and he's ultimately 'nesting'.
Thanks everyone for the support - let's just hope I can meet with the psychiatrist next week and go for some counselling.0 -
Your GP sounds lovely charlie! Glad it went well.
It's annoying and wrong that you and WaSp should lose out through no fault of your own WaS.0 -

I know it's a lot easier to say than it is to believe but don't be scared that he's going to run a mile. He loves you for all that you are and, while he'd obviously rather your life was easier than it's being now, I doubt he'd change anything about you.
WaS, agreed that it's rubbish that someone else's ineptitude can leave you without a car. I know insurance companies try to get out of paying wherever possible but it really should cover you for whatever it costs to repair or replace your car.0 -
I didn't think of typing and printing out the form! Typing is much easier, it's my grip that's a problem. I wonder if I get more ESA points due to the fact I can't hold a pen to fill the thing in, in the first place? There is irony in that!
I am agreeing with WaSp about the car. We are going to try to fight the insurance company on it if they offer a low amount which they likely will. Our car was parked safely in the drive, off of the road, not even overhanging it. The other car swerved onto the pavement to hit it. It just isn't fair that we lose out because of this, convincing the insurance company of this is another matter.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Glad you have a supportive GP Charlie, it makes a huge difference.
Thanks for the message Georgie, just got to get it all to work now!
Back from the park. Little Sod is covered in thick black sticky mud and Escapette is putting up an anti-sleep protest as she is totally overtired but has decided messing about is preferable to sleep.
EMDR wasn't too bad, but my 'safe place' for when things get difficult is breaking down and she doesn't know why, so I've got to practice using it between now and next time to see if that helps, or come up with a new image to use, which isn't easy0 -

No sign of it any time soon Georgie, age is lay in bed trumping and laughing. They are proper loud trumps too so it's hard not to laugh as well!
Little Sod has been left downstairs to lie on the sofa. I've decided it's easier to wash removable sofa covers than it is try and clean him down!0
