Lots of people struggling to get here today melly, traffic is a nightmare. The interview peeps will know this though, it's a perfectly valid reason! Hope you get something sorted.

HBS - am laughing at the thought of it all fitting in a wheelie bin (laughing at the ridiculous of the whole situation you understand, not at you my lovely). It's in the garage (which is HUGE) and it's basically filled the whole place. All the stuff that was already in the garage is also his (bike stuff, car stuff, actual bikes, tools, etc). The only things left in the house is one box of things that I don't dare put out there. The garage is pretty dry and everything's covered in plastic and not directly on the floor etc - but I've kept the couple of things that were his grandparents safely in the house until there is a handover plan.

The rest of it is mostly junk tbh - must have been at least 10 boxes that hadn't even been unpacked since we moved in. Things like old cassettes.

We turned round and came home and that journey took 20 mins (or double what it would take to walk we hadn't even gone 0.5 mile)

Melly - good luck!! ETA - Hmmm, maybe not then. That's what happens when I keep getting interrupting while I'm typing...

Tea - don't call or email FOH. I know that you were together a long time and therefore when everything's too much it's almost an instinctive reaction to want to talk to him but it's not going to help anything. Is the part of you that's, understandably, upset that he'll be over you also wondering if the fact that he's getting help will change him into the person you always hoped he could be? If so, while I can totally see where you're coming from, have some gentle finger wagging and realise that you're always going to deserve so much more than the very best version of him that he could be.

Charlie - welcome and no wonder things seem so difficult at the moment. That is an awful lot to be dealing with and home not being a haven at the moment must make it all so much harder. Good luck with the doctor.

    Um... very much yes :(.
  • Thanks - next available Dr appointment is next Friday :( and that's with a locum. My registered GP isn't available until 1st March. As long as somebody is sympathetic and good at listening i'll be OK. I'm just afraid i'll have somebody who is dismissive of things. Had an amazing GP previously who once refused to let me leave for an hour until he had heard it all out and then arranged somebody to talk to the next day (but they weren't very good so left it after one session - wanted to talk about the childhood issues when all I needed was to talk to somebody about what was happening here and now) but he has retired. New GP (at private clinic) is lovely but she is so smiley and happy and sympathetic that she makes me feel silly for being so miserable. If that makes any sense!

Which is even more reason not to call him. He'll do his best to convince that he's different/realised the error of his ways etc. but his current behaviour indicates that he's not capable of putting you first. If he could then, no matter how much he wanted to speak to you, he would've given you the space you asked for. Have huge hugs and come and rant at us every time you get the urge to pick up the phone.

Hopefully the time will pass quickly but, as above, huge hugs and come and rant at us in the mean time.

It does Charlie but you shouldn't

Tea it takes a long time to get over a relationship of that length and depth please don't beat yourself up but NO CONTACT WITH FOH.

One of my friends travels from Sutton to Erdington it's a journey of less than 6 miles it took her 2.5 hours to get to work and she ended up walking a chunk of it after abandoning the car

    No contact from agency

Starting to think I'm not going to be seen now.

    Right phone charge and nap.
  • Been reading a lot of Laurie Halse Anderson's books. Supposed to be for young adults...wish I'd had them when I was YA age. (Could be triggering for some, just a warning :) )
