Afternoon Team WaS. Just popping in on a break from the: TMI warning penguin (but not really just a bit gross) Period poops. Do any other ladies get these horrible sticky, stinky poops around their period? end of yucky pingu.

Have decided to take Mr CP on an exciting trip for his 40th birthday. I have 6 years to save for it, but I just made the first deposit and I'm so excited. I figure if I can save around £50-100 a month, I'll have almost enough as it'll cost about £7-8k, if I go for the top package. I'm so bad at keeping secrets so having a hard time not squealing "I'm going to take you to x event that you've always wanted to go to for your 40th".

Calley, I agree with tea that your question could be seen as being bit rude, if the joking tone wasn't picked up on, which happens on the internet quite a bit. Did you answer him? I once had a guy that I was getting on really well with stop texting me, because I jokingly said "Don't be silly" in response to a text about me being disappointed if we met and he decided I was calling him stupid and overreacted.

WaS - paperwork is rubbish. Having worked in the public sector before, I can guarantee you that they're nowhere near organised enough or equipped with the technology to use that information for surveillance and/or evil. It's barely good enough for purpose. Good luck with the forms. I know it's horrible to admit your limitations, but they don't define WaS. It's just an exercise in letting them know why you can't work. Huge hugs. I like JM's suggestion of pretending you're helping someone else fill in the form. Our friend Wombats and Sloths needs help with her form and you know exactly how to fill it in for her.

Welcome back pollyanna. Hope you are feeling better.

Ono - I love John Hughes films and I agree with an earlier post of yours that
Andie should have picked Duckie.I like to think that Andie and Blaine dated for a little while then she realised that he still didn't believe in himself or her and she ends up with Duckie, who was always there for her. I also hated the dress at the end. I know it's Pretty in Pink but pink is not Molly Ringwald's colour.

Birdie - go with the pugs.

Georgie - just seen your post. If your mum has thinning bones, you should make sure you're getting enough calcium and vit D. Pass me some blueberry muffin loaf.

Perhaps all your missing items are off with all of my left socks.

Eta: you are not all those things you say Calley :naughty: Shows how my mind works though, my first thought when I read the above was some other kind of rabbit! :p

Haha! Me too! Do you have one of those Calley? :rotfl:

    Wombats and Sloths. Love it.
I have given up canvassing for the night, on the grounds that no-one wants to talk to me anyway, and am about to dive head first into a takeaway from the chippy and a bottle of red wine. Weekend, here I come.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Code, I'm always conscious that I should be getting more calcium than I do. I have milk in my coffee, but that's about it. I have yoghurts very rarely, but I do eat lots of leafy vegetables which are meant to have it in too I think? I eat a lot of foods that have vitamin D in, so hopefully I'm getting enough of that? Not sure if I should be taking supplements or something?

*hands code some blueberry muffin loaf* Infact I think I could feed the whole of my close, it's absolutely massive!

Sounds an exciting trip you're planning for Mr CP! Do you think you'll be able to keep it secret for that long?

Forgot to say earlier, love that wallpaper Birdie!

I take supplements because I'm transparent and Scottish :rotfl: I also drink milk, eat cheese and I'm hoping milk chocolate counts. Seems to work, as I've only ever broken my toes.

I want to keep it a secret but 6 years is a long time, particularly when I'm so bouncy about it now. I've been known to give him some Christmas presents early because I'm too excited to wait! :rotfl:

    Evenin' all

I think I'm back now. Had a bit of a wobble and decided that noone liked me because all I posted was moany stuff and missed people out when doing personal replies.
Then I decided that if I said I was feeling like that then people would think I was fishing for sympathy.

And now I have tied myself in knots that much worrying about things that I can't remember what I was worrying about in the first place so have decided to carry on regardless!!

So, hello and I hope everyone is well!

Gosh....my internet's been down for most of the day, plus this arvo I had to go out for more bits and am shattered now.

As for the Venus/Mars stuff, I've not read that book but one like it called 'Why men don't listen and women can't read maps' and the follow up (?) called 'Why men lie and women cry'. Really interesting books and even years later I still remember the points made in those books when DH is being exasperating! :p

    I can read maps!

Pyxis, when is it you go on holiday? Is weekend?

    It's tomorrow afternoon!
And I'm too tired now to carry on with the packing.

I feel like I'm taking a chemist's shop with me.
Plus some has to be in hand luggage in case main case goes missing etc.

Still, I wake early, and most other stuff is done.

Don't know what the wifi will be like, so if I disappear for a bit, that's why!
The mornings we'll be singing, and most afternoons will be excursions, so internet might be left until the evenings!

    Heffalumps here I come! :D

I eat cheese too, forgot about that. Touch wood, the only thing I've ever broke is my little toe.

What supplements do you take? Both calcium and vitamin D? Or just Vit D?

I'm the same, I'd be itching to say something. I probably couldn't keep it secret for 6 days never mind 6 years! :rotfl:

 Welly. Don't worry, everyone has abit of a wobble every now and again. Nice to see you posting again. :)

Oooo exciting Pyxis! If you're able to and want to of course, I'd love to see some photographs if you take any! From what my Dad said, it's meant to be a beautiful place. :)
