Right got to ask is this rude?

I am chatting to someone online and they said they are honest. I said even if its rude and hurtful.

They said pretty much so. I replied wow do you have any friends. His reply was thats rude.

I thought it was honest question. As to me if you too honest then you wont have any friends. As they wont like you for telling them, they are fat, ugly etc.

I don't think he is going to talk to me any more. Hardly a loss LOL!!!

I think he might be one of those can dish it out but when it comes to getting it back does not like it !!!!

Yes, if someone asked me if I had no friends I'd assume they were joking and give a joking answer back. If I actually thought someone I didn't even know was genuinely telling me I had no friends then I would have no qualms about being @rsey to them!

As I said it was an honest question do you have any friends.

I personally would not be offended as I really don't have any friends lol!!but thats me.

or if I said that was rude I would put a smiley on the end. But he did not.

Just interpretation isn't it, there's no way of knowing how someone else will take something. FWIW, I think your question was rude. But I can fully see that lots of people wouldn't.

Nope at the end of my tether with the whole business. When I find someone I like and I think we are getting on well they run off.

Think I am destined to be on my own with my rabbit and my lodger for the rest of my days LOL!!!

Have given up! Well, not for ever , but for the time being. I'll never find anyone I want to spend time with as much as P cat Plus am in the middle of a really good, really big book so I'm not sure I have the time to spare for dating :rotfl:.

The problem is it makes me feel like a big fat failure. And I am not lovable or wanted.

And every time another one runs off its just another massive dent in my self confidence. Which just reinforces that no one wants me. And that there is something seriously wrong with me.

I can see why he thought it was rude, and maybe it struck a nerve with him? Maybe if you'd put a smiley on the end it would have been clearer that you meant it as a joke. Different people take things different ways I guess?

My Mam's x-ray was ok Just showed that she had thinning of the bones, but she knew that already.

Blueberry muffin loaf turned out perfect! I love baking, but it's not very good for the waist bands!

Eta: you are not all those things you say Calley Shows how my mind works though, my first thought when I read the above was some other kind of rabbit!
