You should be fine Calley, but nice that you can stay at your husbands and he can look after you. But that is a lot of water! I really struggle to drink much at all, and am not thirsty much....which of course is a sign of dehydration!

Not sure of the recipe, something like a quarter or half teaspoon in a glass of water? or if you don't want more water, sprinkle some on some bread and butter. Or on anything! Or even on a plate, lick your finger then dab into the salt and lick your finger again!

Went to Gallipoli yesterday, and stood on the promenade watching a lovely sunset over the Ionian Sea, singing (with the group!) an African sunset song! People stopped to listen! Yey! Go us! :T

Off to Lecce for the day today.
It's pretty much full board, so I'm expanding rapidly! :eek:
I've had so much seafood, it's not true. Pretty much every meal has been seafood! If I start sprouting tentacles, you'll know why! :rotfl:

Similarly, if they want to discuss something that might be a trigger for some people, then posting PENGUIN would be a warning that what follows in the whiteout might be a trigger.


- So, if you think something might be a PENGUIN, please post something like the green bit which follows.

"Possible penguin about.........(type of trigger)" The trigger might be:- child abuse, marital abuse/violence, paranoia, stalkers, death, etc.

Then, when you post, repost the word PENGUIN above the discussion. Then post the penguiny bit in white! And the phrase END OF PENGUIN when you have finished.

It will look like this. You will be able to see the white text if you highlight it or if you quote it, (so please don't 'quote' a post containing a penguin onto the thread!)

Will penguin this next bit as it's about death.

Penguin:

I am off to a funeral today A friend of my Mam and Dad's. We were at his wife's funeral in January, 2 weeks after my Dad's (that was hard ) there wasn't many there and he was so grateful for people turning up as they'd discussed it before she passed and hadn't thought they'd be anybody there They kept themselves to themselves and didn't really mix with anyone (apart from the club that my parents knew them from). They had no family and were absolutely devoted to one another. They did everything together.

Anyhow he has died now too, and the notice in the paper said 'unexpectedly', which of course could mean anything, could be natural causes. But mine, my Mam's and a few other people's first thoughts were if he'd perhaps taken his own life? He missed his wife desperately, and like I say, they were never apart. In the paper, it said how he was now reunited with his beloved wife at last.

He was a lovely friendly cheery soul whenever you met him in town. He'd always ask after my Dad and we'd always ask after his wife. They both had the same kind of cancer, so we could talk and relate with each other. He always gave hugs or held my hand and if my eyes filled up then his did too. Whatever the reasons, it's all very sad.

Pyx - you made me chuckle - I think we should all attempt to say "I an not a turtle" In a conversation at some point in some language. Your trip sounds fabulous!

Hope all the poorlies are having an improved day today - your poorly bits have had some positive effect as it has reminded me that I need to sort my food intake etc etc and make sure I am good on vitamin C etc to try and protect myself as much as possible from another winter of chest and throat infections. I am off to buy a new dust mask today as I cough with even the littlest bit of wood dust now, let alone the cement and brick dust I create, so I have decided enough is enough and it is time to protect myself properly. So thank you for the kick up the bum and loading the fort with {squishes} for you all.
