My counsellor was like a temporary friend with training, and with her own support backup to help ensure she was doing her best with me while taking care of herself. The only reason I say temporary is because it was a professional relationship that had a scheduled ending. It is more 'facilitation' than anything else, having the experience to notice when you are subconsciously employing all the strategies at your disposal to not deal with something. (Mine wasn't relationship counselling, it was about me and my reactions to things; once I understood more what was going on, I could be more patient with myself or 'neutralise' the thought before it did damage - not the same as suppressing it).

Anyway, that's enough of that for now. I must get on with what I should have done yesterday.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

    Thanks Georgie. Having a wobble.
It's proper management not my usual pretend (it's exec team!)
I genuinely have no idea why they want to see me (they invited me in to this one I didn't apply)
Right face mask and stuff need to get myself in a better frame of mind (this time tomorrow I will be being interviewed)
  • They obviously liked what they saw Melly! :) Go get em girl!

Think I could do with a face mask myself, my skin is seriously parched at the moment.

Face masks and hair dye are what I do to perk up.

OH will get me a dye if he thinks I'm low lol.

Can't wing this one then need to actually research. Usually pretty confident and I like people so fairly good at interviews and don't get nerves. This is such a huge jump I'm more freaked than a freaked thing.

Morning (just) all and I hope everyone's having an okay Monday, even if it sounds like the weekend wasn't great for some - hugs to those who need them, and those who don't really cos unnecessary hugs are nice too.

Melly, if they asked you to go in then you've obviously got something they want so I'm sure you'll be fine. I hope the face mask and hair dye helps to unfreak you though.

I'm struggling with thinking of cheery things after this morning's news (WaS, definitely not your fault) but one plus side is that Labyrinth will probably be on telly again soon. I know I have the DVD so can watch it whenever I like but I'm more likely to put it on if it's on TV and I can't be unhappy watching that film.

I got a text this morning before I heard the news from my husband to say the goblin king was dead.

I have to say one thing about that film. Me and my husband agree on this does anyone else think that DB's outfit especially the trousers were not suitable for a childrens film. And yes if you have seen it you know what I am on about :rotfl:

Strangely, it's not something that I noticed when I watched it as a kid but the first time I saw it again as an adult I did a bit of a double-take!!

    .

Aw bless him! If that was the case for me, I think I'd be clearing out all of Boots shelves and Superdrugs too! :p

Hope the dye and the face mask do the trick!
