So....do I write up the site inspection report or do I watch labyrinth and just pretend to work?! Oh and those trousers! I remember them making quite an impression on my young mind :rotfl:

I can remember being mesmerised by Nureyev's lunchpack when I was a teenager at said ballet!
It was a much more innocent age then, and I went to an all-girls' school, and we didn't go swimming or to the beach much! :D:D

Birdie and Georgie, I hope your DHs snap out of their grumps and apologise for being numpties.

HBS, I know it's pretty much impossible not to worry but try to think that the impending redundancy could be a good thing - you might well get a better job really quickly so it'll be like you've got a good bonus to leave.

Tea, I hope you've warmed up and, if Mr Bowie won't mesmerise you too much, you could have Labyrinth on in the background while you write your report.

You should watch it Torry! It's my go to cheer me up film, watch it every time I'm not well :)

Code, is your manager leaving? Maybe you could have their job....same company but a new challenge :D that is v rubbish about the agency though.

Their job comes with an extra serving of bureaucratic nonsense and I'm not sure I want to deal with the fortune cookie in that meal.

After spending months whining about not wanting the other job, now I totally want it if only to get away from this nonsense. There are 6 teams who rely on the software I program. Now the manager is off, there is basically me and a business analyst. So one bleeding developer for 2 major projects and system support for multiple teams. And a hiring freeze. They're not going to promote me cause then there'd be nobody left to write the programs.
