They're not going to promote me cause then there'd be nobody left to write the programs.
Where my brother works (US software development company, though he now works from home in the UK), management would mean a reduction in salary. They pay their managers less than their developers, as the owners realise who creates the product that generates their revenue, so management would not be considered a promotion.

As a developer, this seems the correct way to do things to me!

Pyx - wow - that must have been amazing to watch such stellar performers.
Welly - giggling just a little bit - sorry but escapette sounds rather awesome to me - the boy was probably a bully and the lady was mean..........she was just protecting you. Next time, just clap your hands and shout "Oh honey, no luminous green this time!"
    Good Luck melly!
Tea - I am so not looking forward to site visits in this weather - seriously considering heated socks this year as even three pairs of socks doesn;t seem to stop my toes from freezing.

not a bowie fan at all, but can't argue the genius and originality of the man and as for labyrinth, I still quote it at nearly 40.

It's well worth seeing; some good songs, some good effects. It's a Jim Henson (muppets) production, so,there are some puppetty characters in it. However, it's really quite dark in places, and can be a little scary. The Goblin King is a true goblin......touch of cruelty about him.

The thing to remember if you watch it is that it's 30 years old, so some of the effects might seem a little tame by today's standards, although personally, I think they stand up well to today's offerings.

If you haven't seen it WaS, I wouldn't.....there might be triggers in it for you. Hope you're feeling better. :A

Code, that thing about your non-promotion........does it make it easier to decide about the possible new job?
    Have you heard any more?
