Love that dress Pyxis! :D Could potentionally be abit prickly if you sit at a funny angle though! :rotfl:

    Oh I don't know! :D:D:D

Mind you, I hope there aren't any glass baubles round the back! They'd get crushed! Ouch!

David Tennant still the first for me.
I'll never forget the goodbye scene with Billie Piper. (She was my fave companion, too, although I loved the humour that Catherine Tate brought. Oh for those days again. Much better than the current storylines, I.M.O).

    Mooorning!

Melly I'm glad you are being referred, hopefully some space to talk about you will help.

Pyxis, I hope the Scary Things aren't too scary today. Maybe you could rename them as Things to be !!! Wupped to take away some of their power?

Calley, I'm sure your husband appreciates all your help really!

A Christmas party sounds lovely! Are we having a fuddle? I could bring an 80s style cheese and pineapple hedgehog.

Had our meetup Christmas party last night. I got a bit cross as people were complaining about the music. We put a lot of effort in to organising things like that for people, voluntarily. I felt that when you are paying a couple of pounds for a party where you get food, music, games and prizes you don't need to make a huge issue out of something like that.

I hope everyone is safe and well this morning, the wind here is awful.

what I will probably do today: get covered in glitter writing friends and family Xmas cards while drinking eggnog
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

He has been excellent, I was realy excited when it was announced he was taking over as Dr Who and he has not disappointed. I don't have a crush though :p
    .

I didn't gave a clue who he was when they announced he was going to be the new Dr. I had serious doubts that he'd be any good. Not long into the first episode, I was like "Ooo he's good, I like him!" He just IS Dr Who! Although I will always have a soft spot for DT too.

I haven't watched it yet as we always watch it on a Sunday as we watch much more high brow and intellectual programmes on a Saturday *cough* X Factor, IACGMOOH etc. :p
  • Just popped in to deliver hugs and squishes, and to replenish the fort. Out today playing all day (Zemlinsky, who knew!) - back late this evening xxxxx

The BBC4 9pm Saturday thing is The Bridge, at the moment.
Detective thingy but where the main.character seems to be on the ASD spectrum. I'm enjoying it.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Yes, me too, although as always I tend to fall asleep, so always record it and watch it the next day...........am currently halfway through the second hour at the moment.

WaS, you really, really mustn't watch it. It's very gruesome. Don't even think about it.

Just going to google Zemlinsky.......have never heard of him!

Edit.... An Austrian composer of the late 19th/early 20th Centuries. Not heard his music, but I much prefer Baroque and earlier music still!

Edit edit.....just listened to a bit of his Lyric Symphony. Aaaargh! Sorry JM! I just don't understand 'modern-classical' and don't find it at all easy to listen to, especially when there are shrieking 'Wagnerian' female opera singers as well!

There's even a lot of Britten that I find too unpleasant to listen to! "Peter Grimes" for example. Instrumental music of that genre is easier to listen to than singing, though.

Being a cultural philistine, I tend to find operatic type things far more enjoyable during the bits where there isn't any warbling or trilling going on. :o
