I am feeling so low at the moment. Haven't felt this bad in a long time.

2 good things about that codemonkey. You are getting sufficiently better for the blip to shake your confidence because you have been forgetting how long you can go. Also, when I have been low this year, I have got through it and ended up having a good idea or experience or goal afterwards. *whispers - maybe you are getting ready to look at those Krav Maga sessions*

Hugs and homemade gingerbread reindeer for Pyxis.
Ww - I tend to read mainly the cheap or reduced kindle books which is a fun way to find new authors although some of them are truly awful. Will have a look at my kindle once I'm done staring at the wall.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
code, thank you. Is there a specific date that is setting off this bout of sadness?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

WW, re books, my own personal favourites (apart from celeb autobiographies) are true crime books and books on (I don't know if I should admit this!) serial killers  Certainly made for interesting conversation with the MIL when I picked one a book about one in a service station after a day trip once! The one about Ed Gein was both page turning and horrendous at the same time.....I read some things in that book that I just can't shake from memory now....so yeah, maybe not the best recommendation after all!

I looked into the krav sessions ww. I found a class near work that's at a great time for me to attend. Was on the point of phoning up to enquire. Then it occured to me that in martial arts at some point someone is going to want to kick/punch me in face during a sparring session and that can't happen because of my tn.
I have been looking into the other scary thing and have decided. I am going to book my theory test as I last learned 7 years ago and so my last one expired. Downloaded an app for that already. Then I will find a driving instructor (DH will not teach me or let me practice in his precious new car) . Once I've done that, I'll book a test and hammer in as many lessons as I can before then. Repeat until passed.
Assuming of course that I stop feeling like a ghost.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Very light reading, but I enjoyed Margaret Powell's autobiographical trilogy:
"Below Stairs"
"Climbing the Stairs"
"The Treasure Upstairs"
They were supposed to have been the inspiration for "Upstairs Downstairs" and "Downton Abbey".
She only died in 1984.
Well done on the driving theory test! And booking lessons resolution! Yey!(I just lurve spiders!)

I have one thing like that that I can't shake when I am feeling vulnerable but I won't even Crotch Biting Penguin it on here, in case it scares anyone else.
I like serial killer stuff too. I am just fascinated by how things develop. I think there is a 3 parter pschopath programme on this week, sometime? I will watch it if DH doesn't grumble too much. I may even hear it, if he doesn't lecture me on the state of society all the way through it; sorry, I mean engage me in a stimulating exchange of ideas.
ETA: I did see recently that 100% of serial killers had been abused in childhood. (But this is obviously serial killers are a very tiny proportion of all people).:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them.
