I've bought a Fitbit thingy which I'm using as a strict food diary and I've calculated that since I bought it back in October, I've lost 11lb and 14oz.
The food diary is keeping me on the straight and narrow.
The little wristband vibrates when I reach my goal of 10,000 steps. Today, I doubt I'll reach 1,000.!!
I've joined Faceache and LinkedIn.
I'm not enjoying either, but a singing club I've joined have a closed group on Faceache and a lot of my colleagues are on LinkedIn.
I've now got to download the tunes from Faceache via Dropbox so that I can hum along to the harmonies....
Pffffffffft.
All sounds pretty awesome to me.
I have no work so have spent the afternoon learning Portuguese.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

I have also been sat in front of computer. Pondering how to reconcile the politics of " if a client thinks your involvement has not helped then that's their valid opinion and they have a right to share it" vs " the commissioners are questioning the negative outcomes."
- if people are asking you to help with completely unrealisitic aims then of course there are times when the blasted outcomes are going to show we haven't manage to achieve it.
Pfft and double pffft. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Aargh, cars that aren't mine scare the flipping pants off me. Couldn't start the damn thing (had to go and get help!), couldn't find the lights, have no idea where the fuel cap is or how it works. The rear window is tiny and a v odd colour and it's too big! Going to be a lovely day tomorrow driving 5+ hours in it. Oh, and my sat nav doesn't work.

MU, hang on in there, you're doing brilliantly
As WaS said, a lot of people with Bi Polar can't work at all (my uncle being one of them), so the fact that you are is awesome.
Retail work is both physically and mentally tiring (I should know, I did it for 16 years), and 8 hours is a long time, especially if you're on your feet all day and it's busy. I've got to admit, most times I preferred it to be busy as I was bored if it was quite, however, if you went in and you weren't feeling too good, were tired, emotional or stressed, then it would be the last place you'd want to be and was sometimes overwhelming, especially when you got a d*ckhead of a customer.
When you've got a long queue, just focus on the customer you're serving, after all you can only serve one person at a time. I know it's hard though when one person just has to make their voice heard and is grumbling and complaining. You can only go so fast, and people need to realise that. I always say, that everyone who complains at retail staff, should be made to work a week in retail, and then they'd soon shut up and realise how demanding it can be.
If you're finding you just can't carry on with the 8 hour shifts, have a word with your boss, don't push yourself, your health is the most important thing.0 -
What kind of car is it tea?
Have you got a present sorted for your Dad yet code? My Dad loved novelty things too. One year I got him a Billy Bass! He loved it, my Mam found it funny at first, but the novelty soon wore off after he put it up in the hallway and it went off every time someone walked past it! So he put a bit of tape over the sensor, but we'd still press it anyhow! :rotfl:
Congrats on the weight loss gingernutty!0 -
It's only a focus :rotfl:. I learnt in a focus but that was nearly 20yrs ago and they were about half the size back then...and nowhere near as complicated!0
