SJ. - You could try junior duvets but i don't know how long they are.

Pyxis - I'm sure that's lovely but you cant see flash on Android. Will look on the laptop later.

Gemini - he does have a low drive which is a part of his condition but that doesn't help when he rejects me 95% of the time then complains we never have the jiggy. It's not like I'm trying all the time either. You're pretty much told that men have needs and women have headaches so its not very great for the self-esteem when he's never interested. I have to remind myself that he's a good husband in other ways and it's not all that important but occasionally it gets to me. Like last night where I cried so much I have a headache today.

Posted last night for tea but it seems to have disappeared - tea - why dont you go for it with your crush, assuming he's single? There's no reason why you can't talk about life, the universe and everything and fight about the bins.

Big hugs MU. I know this is 100x easier said than done but please don't be so hard on yourself. Get in the fort, get comfy and we'll bring a constant supply of snacks and hugs through.

Retail IS hard, especially at this time of year where people seem to forget their basic manners. I certainly couldn't do it again (I remember one particularly lovely Christmas eve shift in Kwik Save... *shudders*). Listen to Swain - you're not a failure and you're doing really well to keep working. Fingers crossed that next time you're in you have some more support.

code - he's not single .

Plus, you definitely have my sympathy on the non-jiggyness. I think that was the final straw for me - when I asked for a hug on my birthday and was told it was "too cold". I mean !!!!!!?? At least come up with a half-decent excuse! Hopefully Mr Code will have realised what he's missing out and will be begging forgiveness as we speak :D.

    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • Whitewing - thanks for links, I had not thought of using the double, but it would still mean the bulk on the bed,
Pyxis - thanks for the thought, but the zip would be a nuisance.
Codemonkey - junior duvets are exactly what I'm looking for, but can't find.

The sleeper is a little old lady, who is getting swamped by the single duvet, it falls to the floor and when folded back to air, is bulky and difficult to handle. So a junior size would would be wonderful. All my googling turns up is duvet covers! Do children really go straight from a moses basket to a full size single? That's what it looks like at the moment!

My congratulations to all of you wading through treacle just to get through the day. And admiration, for taking that deep breath, counting to 10, putting a smile on your face and getting on with it.

  • Just a quick post, sorry no personals right now, am on my way out, will reply later, but just wanted to quickly post this for code. Does your Dad like chocolate? I got one of these for D (2 of his favourite things chocolate and biscuits combined into one!) http://www.iwantoneofthose.com/gift-chocolate-and-sweets/chocolate-biscuits-set/11088017.html

  • Ah, now we're getting there! Thanks Codigopombo. I'll look further into that, see if there's a warmer one, etc.

MU - as the others are saying, don't be hard on yourself and you are NOT a failure! I work FT but I work in a nice office where I can more or less set my own pace and drink as much coffee as I want, there's no way I could work FT in retail, I'd turn into a zombie! It's a hard job, both physically and mentally exhausting so you're a star for doing what you do! :T We had a sneaky Gr.ggs lunch on Saturday, the Festive Flatbread is yummy! Also, what is a Gr.ggsnut?! Is it like a cronut?
