If I worked in retail I'd probably get done for ABH. Especially at this time of year when the idiots are out in force.

Useful bit of faceache info. There used to be an "other" messages folder where messages from people not your friends used to go, for which you got email alerts. This has now changed to a "filtered" messages file which is harder to spot, and comes with no email alerts.
I discovered this yesterday along with several messages from Sept /oct from people I'd met on my naughty dogs walk asking to keep in touch. They must thing I've been ignoring them. :(

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • You almost need a degree with some of the cars nowadays!

I learned in a Citroen ZX, and I loved it! Just googled it, it looks so retro now, but I still love the shape!

Demais means too much. Closest I can get is Eu sou bacana.

I learned to drive in a fiat. However, I had boyfriends with nice cars - couple with Porsches and one with a Lotus, the latter used to race so I got to go in some of his racing track buddies cars so I've got to go in some cool cars.

  • I've always liked the look of Lamborghini's :D

Does your Dad like whiskey code? That's probably a stupid question to ask of a scots man lol! This is pretty cool http://www.bhs.co.uk/en/bhuk/product/sale-offers-5048888/up-to-20-off-alcohol-gifts-5048354/old-st-andrews-whisky-barrel-tasting-selection-4784661?bi=40&ps=40 Although maybe abit pricey for the amount you get?

It was always going to be difficult, welly, try not to be too hard on yourself. Escapette is being looked after by a loving grandparent, that's got to count for a lot. Is OH being supportive?

    welly,

Be very proud of yourself - you are doing what's right for your little family.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

    I'm with you awesome lot

Ha. I've just discovered that a) multiquote will quote only 3 posts, and b) it seems to add them in an odd order. So this makes less sense than it might have done. I liked this, though :D

I have also been sat in front of computer. Pondering how to reconcile the politics of " if a client thinks your involvement has not helped then that's their valid opinion and they have a right to share it" vs " the commissioners are questioning the negative outcomes."
    - if people are asking you to help with completely unrealisitic aims then of course there are times when the blasted outcomes are going to show we haven't manage to achieve it.

    Pfft and double pffft.

The answer is to change your questionnaire. The clients who thought your involvement hadn't helped had obviously had their self-confidence improved :D (Semi-serious)
Big hugs, MU. Try flipping it. You CAN work, how many people with Bipolar can't do that? There are loads. The 8 hour shifts are awful but you did it. You have been at your workplace for quite a while now, they like you and are happy with the job that you do, they wouldn't keep you on if they thought they could replace you. Think of all the times you have chatted with customers and given them time, the person you talked to who was unhappy, the little child you gave the ears to. Does that sound like someone who isn't suited to working with people? You sound amazing at working with people and like you go the extra mile.

Also you know what triggers you, that's half the battle. You do so much better than me who did a year of work going gradually more psychotic and refusing to recognise it. Listen to Swain, you are expecting far too much of yourself. Retail is HARD particularly at this time of year, people who work in that profession don't get half the credit that they deserve. I could never have done it even before psychosis, I used to work part time in a pharmacists and ended up doing stocking taking and helping with medication stocks because I simply couldn't work on the till. More than 3 customers and I went to pieces in a total panic. You are doing so, so well and you are being too harsh on yourself.

Swain won't get sick of you, why would he get sick of someone who constantly wants to do better than they are, who constantly wants to be a valuable part of society, someone who pushes themselves to be the best they can be? These are all good qualities that would make someone want to be with you! I have no doubt that he is very proud of you. I know that you are not proud of you but if it's ok I would like to join Swain and say that I am proud of you, too.

This is such a brilliant post - you are a truly lovely person, WaS  I originally quoted a few other posts on this subject too, but the multiquote let me down. So please don't feel ignored if you posted on this too and I haven't quoted you - it really made me almost tear up how supportive everyone was (and I agree with them).

I also quoted a post where someone said it was quiet on here. What??? I've been away for just over a day and it was like a short novel!!!!! :rotfl:
