Sounds like a really good idea then, MU.

It will help give the day an enjoyable focus which may help you not feel so bad about going to work if you are feeling wobbly.

My classes are making me more confident.
I think it will be good for me, i may not lose weight (that seems bloody impossible atm) but i think it will have a positive effect on my mood which can only be a good thing.

Zumba was my feel good exercise for a while, i can;t dance for !!!! but i enjoyed doing it and it was a good all round exercise. Hopefully with swimming as well it might help make me feel healthier (physically and mentally)

Its good your classes have made you feel more confident :)

ER is likely to be in hospital for quite some time, by the sound of it. It appears to be MH rather than dementia. They hadn't done a power of attorney, which is causing some financial issues.
Anyone who hasn't done a power of attorney, can I suggest you look into it - none of us know when it might be unexpectedly needed.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

My great aunt has various MH issues (we suspect dementia too) and my dad has power of attorney, for a while she was being taken advantage of by people (they'd take money off her, after getting her drunk etc) so my parents felt it best to try and take some control to stop her being fleeced by those charlatans).

I hope things with ER are resolved soon though it may take some time

Sliding in to say hi.....lots on my mind this past week but just about holding everything together by pretending all is fine and a great bit of compartmentalising (is that even a word?)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Compartmentalising is all very well until one of your compartments bursts and everything explodes. Short term as a coping strategy, it's good. Long term use, not so good.

WaS, as you like to celebrate, today is St Andrews Day. St Andrew is the patron saint of Scotland, Greece, Cyprus, Romania, Poland and other places including somewhere in Barbados. So that's a lot of celebrating. If you go down the Scottish route, may I suggest stovies? This isn't the most traditional recipe but its close to how I make them. It's amazing comfort food for cold days. When I went to bed last night there was snow on the ground but now its just raining.

I've shoved so much stuff in some of my compartments that there is bound to be a messy explosion one day. But for now I will keep cramming it down and ignoring it all..... that's an acceptable coping strategy right??
  • Made a doctor's appointment for this evening, I seem to be really bad run of sleeplessness, to the point I want something to just knock me out. I've never been at that point before, I've always felt that it will get better eventually, but now I don't. I know what the problem is, I'm stressing about stuff I largely can't control, and I learned something else a few minutes ago that makes me stress even more.
