Yes, but there are only 25 thingies in an advent calendar, so if I start today, it'll finish on the 23rd!

I just put up my tree!

    OAbZlyU.jpg

Although now I am quite upset as when I moving the presents under the tree (I have all of mine bought + wrapped by mid-November at the latest each year) I noticed the cats had broken S's present and now I have to find money for a replacement.

I got him a really nice art print and bought a frame to go with it. The frame is now shattered - and cost the best part of £20 due to the size. That's half a week's money whilst I'm waiting for ESA to pull their finger out.

You folks have just reminded me I need an advent calendar. With real chocolate. Need to go shopping before they all sell out.

    Thank you Melly!

Hang in there Faerie, big hugs. I am sorry that you feel so awful right now.

That is a beautiful tree Lex! How annoying about the gift, kitties do things like that. Mine used to swing on my tree, I put it up again daily.

I have never seen Frozen, is it safe for me? No fluffy animals die?

WaSp and I have Minion advent calendars, Elsien!

Last night I decided to blow the budget on a take away pizza for my birthday. Today I have received an email from the store apologising for being late delivering and giving me a voucher for the whole meal again. They only took 40 minutes, I didn't consider them late but they did apparently, they have a 30 minute window. Funnily enough, on WaSp's birthday he wanted KFC and they managed to forget one carton of fries so gave us a voucher for a free meal as well. So yay, free pizza and KFC in the next month. As we only have two take away's a year that's a huge bonus for us, we feel spoilt! We shall have one at Yule to celebrate that. Little things make me happy...

You are such a birthday bargain-getter, WaS.

I am pleased as we are running low on washing tablets and other things I normally buy in bulk. I just went online to find my usual brands are half price until tomorrow so I have put in a bulk order and also got a few other things for Christmas at half price or discount.

    How is WaSp now?

    Our tree is up too!
I'd usually not even consider it until December but Escapette had been under the weather with constipation so we thought the lights would cheer her up.
She has since cleared constipation, all over my leg!!!!

    melly,

Accidents happen, and it sounds like everyone knew to call the ambulance promptly, call you and get hold of the director. No human is ever going to be sitting on their phone every minute of the day.
Sounds like you are doing well under exceptionally challenging personal circumstances.

If you were your own best friend, what would you say to yourself?
