  • Hahahahaha thank you, hopefully it's fun! I feel just like that pic, Pyxis! Every now and then I reach a point, usually after being frustrated by auditory hallucinations that I decide to fight back against them. This is one of those times. On the bright side it gave WaSp a laugh, he can't quite believe that, that was my hallucination, neither can I. Microsoft is taking over my brain!

Today I will fight back and do something nice for myself and the hallucinations can run in fear! Or something.

How lovely to be taking your blanket for an outing. I am excited for you, WaS.

  • Hahahaha! My blanket hasn't had an outing for a while! Of course, Sir Pugliet will be coming along, too!

I was looking through the previous threads the other day and saw the posts about Kevin the llama - now that was an outing! :D
  • G'wan WaS! Have a wonderful time :)

  • Hahaha! I should plan a visit to Kevin the Llama again! I can go anytime I wish to do so. Hopefully this might kick start me going out once a month again, I got out of the habit and then it becomes to easy to never leave the house. I also feel happy and sad at once because WaSp is so happy to be going somewhere with me, he misses days out too. I might even venture onto the beach when it is dark and no one can see the mysterious blanket clad figure rummaging amongst stones for shells!

    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • It's overcast here but pretty warm and no sign of rain (don't tempt fate WaS). I haven't had fish and chips since July either so that's a treat too! I feel a bit guilty spending the money we don't have on it but as I never go anywhere I think I can let myself off!

Hahahaha! That's brilliant, Pyxis! Awwww, I miss Kevin.

I do my best to keep evening commitments but it's just another joy of not having children that anything I might do with my time is seen as less important than if it was "family-related".

And I so relate to that as well, as I suspect will almost any other person without children. It's even worse if people know you're single as well, as that means you must obviously be available any time outside work with no notice as you can't possibly be doing anything important with your evenings!

I even once got told by someone that I used to work with that rules for taking time off at our company be should changed, so she could have priority booking leave in August because she had children and I didn't. Fortunately for me, our employer didn't agree with her and kept the first-come, first served rule in place.
