Thanks Georgie. What's made it worse is that her sidekick is now involved. When I queried the position I was more or less told "that's how it is, get over it". That was what was so upsetting, someone else being unpleasant as well.
No, I can't discuss it with the leader, not at this stage! Can't explain why on here. If it carries on, then maybe.
Honestly! It reminds me of when I was sent to Coventry by my group of friends, aged about 13, at school! What am I like! :rotfl:

One of my staff used to be like this. Noone wanted to cross her so they sucked up to her instead. I'd step in, let her know she was out of order, then she'd be all right till the next new person started. What used to drive me up the wall was the person who'd been on the receiving end the last time would be backing her up this time round.
Some people are just game players - it's not necessarily anything you've done, if it wasn't you it'd be someone else, so don't let them make you feel there's something wrong with you. Chances are, it's not you, it's them. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Yes, you're right.
All so very unnecessary though. People are strange.(I just lurve spiders!)

It's not a very nice feeling is it?
To be honest, she sounds like a right jobsworth. You get them everywhere. In my opinion, it only serves to make them look stupid in the end up.0 -
Great, our boiler is on the blink
Heating not working and no hot water either. Hopefully it'll just be a small repair, here's hoping.

Have you got a room thermostat? If so, check the battery doesn't need replacing (if it isn't wired-in).
Check the water pressure hasn't dropped. There'll be a dial on a pipe near the boiler. You'll have to check with your manual what it should be, but it's easy to increase.......there'll be a little tap on a pipe somewhere. Have you bled the radiators recently? That could have caused a pressure drop.
If there's an LED panel on the boiler, there might be an error code letter you could look up in the manual, which will tell you the problem.(I just lurve spiders!)

We've checked all that Pyxis. There's a guy we've had before and my Mam always gets him for stuff, so will give him a ring.
Anyone else watching Beatles No 1's? I absolutely love them, John Lennon would be one of my imaginary dinner party guests, alongside Freddie Mercury! One of my all time favourite songs is 'Something', I wonder what position that comes at? Also love 'Let it be'.0 -
This is about canine PTSD. Don't read it if you are feeling fragile or get upset about animals:
http://www.theguardian.com/society/2015/nov/11/canine-ptsd-us-military-working-dogs#img-1:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0 -
'Let it be' has got me through many a hard time. My favourite though is 'Here comes the sun'.
Sorry about the boiler Georgie. That's rubbish.
Pyxis - ah the good old fashioned sugar coated hostility. I don't care how bad she feels, she doesn't get to take it out on you just because you've been away. I'd hit it back with sarcasm or a good stern 'Who do you think you're talking to?' or 'Did you mean to be a penis then?' when she's mean. People like this are bullies who rely on other people being too scared to challenge them, so do it assertively as you can. If that fails there's always this. In the meantime I will send DA dog to curl up next to you. You'll need to provide belly rubs in return but he does a nice sideline of looking at you adoringly.
I need some advice. My friend has taken to one of those selling cosmetics things and is convinced that she'll make enough money to give up work. I'm pretty sure these things are scams reliant on the goodwill of your friends to buy crap they don't need at prices higher than they normally would. I also suspect the real money is in recruiting people so a pyramid scheme really. Anyway, she's invited me to a 'party' and while I do want to support her, the big product is a mascara which makes eyelashes look spidery and tbh, I already look a bit like Faline from Bambi. So do I go, accept that I'm going to spend at least £25 on something I don't want or need on top of my transport costs to help her out or do I make an excuse why I can't go?Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Not reading. I can read about human suffering no problem. The first suggestion of an animal suffering and I start sobbing.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
