Just remember - blood is not a measure of family, - love, kindness and actions are. Society pressures us into maintaining contact with family, but I think that you should have no guilt about not having someone in your life who causes you distress.
Family are supposed to care more for you than random strangers, so if they are causing you pain and distress - they are doubly bad!
Sure, we might take a time to feel sad about what could have been if they had been different, but there is no need to feel guilt for their actions or because you can't fix a broken potential relationship - remember that would take two people working at it - a relationship is like a see-saw - it needs people on both ends to work at it. IF they are not willing to work at it - then you have nothing to feel guilty about.

    I'm in a clique! It's a clique of one! It's a unique clique!
    I love

  • May I have a hug? I feel a bit rubbish today.

Ordered some more stuffs for the Etsy shop but being entirely meh about actually doing it. Managed to make some Lush-style lotion bars but can't sell them as I don't have the right certification :(

    Sorry for the downer everyone.

  • Hugs hbs, the crafting mojo will return. I get the same about my household projects at times and just ignore them until I feel like starting work on them again (although tiredness is the main problem for me at the moment).

    Thank you Ono!

I'm just convinced people don't want to buy my stuff because it's rubbish :( that one bad review has really gotten under my skin, I think.

Today can get in the bin. Bring on tomorrow :)

Good sentiment! Sometimes it's good to step away and come back to something later.

I love your stuff, HBS. I didn't buy any as I have all my presents sorted now, aside from the children.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
  • Thank you JM and WW! It's so much of a relief to know that my stuff is actually nice and liked and appealing, that gives me a bit of motivation :) Phew!

I do pick up my new funky glasses later so I think that bit of today can be removed from the bin ;)

{squishy} just for HBS - your stuff is great, not only in look and quality, but in concept too. We are home crafters and occasionally stuff breaks and you did exactly the right thing by offering to replace or refund, but there is nothing you cannot do if a buyer does not tell you!
