  • Hahaha, thank you! I avoided having a signature for ages because I knew once I started I would change it constantly. Right now, this one feels right but it might be different by next week!

  • Hahahaha! That's so true!

On the subject of animals I am seriously contemplating asking my landlord if I can have another hamster. I wasn't ready before because George lived for nearly 3 years and was very unique, when he died I was so upset I couldn't handle the thought of another pet with a short life. I miss the little cuddles though.

It would take me a while to find one because they will have to be suitably odd. When I chose George he was in a cage with his siblings and they were all curled up together in corners, sleeping for comfort and warmth. Then there was George in the centre of the cage with no covering, fast asleep on his back with his legs in the air looking dead, basically. I thought that's my hamster! He was different his whole life, he hated his wheel, used his house as his toilet and wasn't at all nocturnal, he would go to bed at 9pm every night. He would then have very loud dreams and squeak and hiss away to himself. I want one like that.

He sounds great! I love dotty animals!

My second dog was weird. She used to climb up walls! When she was a pup she looked like a bear cub and I was sure she was half bear! She used to sleep with her bumm halfway up the wall! She used to eat the wall too!
    Maybe she was half wall?
Actually, instead of a hamster, why not a fancy rat! They're so intelligent! Tell landlady you're getting an 'amstair' though! Rat might freak her out! Hahaha!

  • Awww, your dog sounds wonderful, just my sort of pet! I would love to have rats. Before he met me WaSp used to have one and he was free range, he had his cage on the floor with the door open and he would come and go as he pleased. WaSp couldn't eat in front of the tv because his food would slowly disappear off the plate while he wasn't looking. WaSp's rat was supposed to be food for his snakes but he couldn't bring himself to do it so he became a pet instead.

Hahahaha! I bet that !!!!!! the snake off! If I had a snake, it'd have to eat frozen mice, as I couldn't do it to a live mammal. I'd feel its fear.
What sort of snake was it? I like snakes! I've got a photo of me with a python over my shoulders!

  • Awwwwwww, how cute!

WaSp had a python, a constrictor and 2 corn snakes! He was very into them before I met him and he would like another, I wouldn't mind at all but again I might have a problem convincing the landlord! His python and constrictor eventually became education snakes for school children in a sanctuary when they grew too large for him to keep, he had the corn snakes until they died. He ended up feeding them frozen mice, rats and chicks, too. He couldn't bring himself to feed live food after the first attempt with his rat.

Ferrets also make very good pets. The person I stayed with in Florida had a pair and I spent most of the three months at home in their room (yes, they had their own room). They are very curious and climb up your sleeves and love tunnelling into your clothes. I used to take a towel and drag it around the floor and the ferrets would get very excited and jump on it for a ride.

Geckos - think they would be cool pets - bright orange ones that just hng onto the glass and it would be like "hey, watcha doing?" and they would be like "just hanging" - its the sucky feet and poky tounge and they always look like they are grinning. I may have a wee collection of garden geckos acquired on various holidays in metal, ceramic etc.....and one day, when I eventually finish the garden, they will all go up on the walls etc.
