**runs through fort trailing sheets of paper and babbling**

For once, no cement and paint as today was my first day at University................................................ **head explodes**..................oh me and my clever ideas!!!!!!!!!!

IBS decided to kick in for the first time in ages this morning due to the nerves and **all hell** broke loose - thankfully managed to make it to uni and get into the reception toilets in time - not a great start - but you guys can gain some amusement from the image of a 40 year old running panicked through 20,000 teenagers looking for a toilet!!!!!
Jury is currently out on whether this was a good idea or not - course and tutors seem nice, administration is woeful - they can't even tell us how much the course is going to cost!! I will be at uni for the next 3 days solidly - so will get through that and see how good the quality of teaching is and then make a decision next week...............
And I felt SO OLD!!! The difference in university now, compared to when I went 20 years ago was astounding and I had my first ever real feeling of being "older generation".

HAven;t had a chance to catch up on thread and probably won't till sunday so hugs n {Squishes} to all and forgive me if I run through ranting about students from now on............

and a bit of cuteness for ya......... my hubby got up early and came with me to uni and walked me all the way to the gate before giving me a kiss and a hand squeeze and wishing me luck before he had to go to work ...........awwwwwwwwwww. gotta luv em sometimes!
  • Awww, how sweet of hubby!

You will be fine, Flybaby! See how it goes and give yourself time to get used to how things work, you might be loving it in 3 days time!

  • Oh, wow I love that, whitewing! That is definitely going on the list, it is unusual enough for her to accept it as a gift! I have always wanted a cuckoo clock too, but they will be out of the range of what I am comfortable about her spending. Thank you!

I have shot myself in the foot in the last few days, and I am only going to post on the money saving end of this form. I do want to say a huge thank you to you all on this thread, you all have been really kind to me as I unravelled.Thank you so much and thank you for letting me into the fort :)
faerielight, i completely understand why you feel that way, but if there is one "safe" and nice thread on MSE, it's this one. When i had my last break from MSE the one thing i really missed was posting here and chatting to everyone, in fact that's the reason i ended up coming back, i just missed everyone so much. Please know you're always welcome here xx

  • Whitewing, I'm making you my official gift chooser! (Is that a job? it should be!). You are great with gifts for Milliefleur and great with gifts for me! I love the lip glosses and the frog is adorable! These are exactly the kind of things that Milliefleur see's as gifts that she would be happy to buy!

WaS, I wouldn't be much help as a gift chooser....unless Millefleur likes Hello Kitty? :rotfl: :D
